Re: Turbo Optima Mid 88`s

Guys, there seems to be more and more people asking for parts in their build threads than by going through the proper channels. Please review the forum rules to know how to get access to the Buy/Sell/Trade section of the forum, including the Wanted Forum section. https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.p...

Re: Original Ultima popularity question

For those that were "there" back in the day, how popular was the original Ultima? From what I remember as a kid, there was much interest in Kyosho claiming and then succeeding in making the Ultima the "next world champion". After that though, attention seemed to return to the RC...

Re: Copying Lexan parts

I would try contacting TeamBlueGroove, they do fairly decent repros of all kinds of stuff, including some Hirobo offerings:

They might be interested in repopping your gear cover.

Re: Car#3 RC10DS “DragMaster”

I dig the fender flares, and they should help with aerodynamics too, I'd imagine. 8)

Re: Painting a body

How come no mention of Parma's FasKolor paints, or Createx, AutoAir? All are water-based and cleanup is so much easier. Plus, your lungs and health will appreciate it. You can paint in your home with a simple paint box and not have acrylic lacquer fumes permeate your basement for a week. I've totall...

Re: Le Mans motor restorations

Beautiful restos, coxbros1. I also love that 360 Gold, it's a beast of a motor. I put one in my buddy's old AYK Buffalo, that I resto-modded for his girlfriend. https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=24843 Now I kinda regret putting the 480 Gold in my bro's car and the 360 Gold in my budd...

Re: Kyosho Scale Car Series Jaguar X220 resto

Nice fix to fabricate that missing part. I also find myself doing that a lot, cutting up leftover parts and stuff to make other parts. I'd rather find a way to make something I need rather than spend money to buy it...because usually these vintage parts are ludicrously expensive or impossible to fin...

Re: Subaru Impreza rally car build

Nice cars, winner_evo. That first one looked so realistic, I was thinking, "Damn, that house has big bricks!"

Re: Subaru Impreza rally car build

The dust shroud is a good idea but it's going to stop any airflow from passing over the parts that heat up; the motor and ESC. You might be at risk of frying those components, and possibly warping/melting the nearby plastic parts if they heat up too much. The addition of a heatsink is a good idea, b...

Re: Le Mans motor restorations

Any tricks to lifting the old decals off without scratching the can? Any time I need to remove stickers, I just hit them up with a hair dryer, lift up an edge and peel off. Usually that's enough heat to soften up the adhesive, and a spray and soak for a few seconds with WD-40 takes care of any stic...

Re: RC10DS - 1970 Chevy Chevelle

I'm just not digging those grey wheels...the style is too high positive offset for my tastes, for a muscle car. I think HPI nailed it with their vintage VTA wheel series: https://www.hpiracing.com/en/part/3822 Kyosho's wheels are so-so, but could be made to look pretty close if you painted the wheel...
