Tamyia Paint Tip
If you have a Tamyia TS color that is not offered in PS (polycarbonate/lexan) you can put down a couple coats of PS Satin clear and the TS paint will adhere to it. Been painting RC bodies for 30 years and just learned this....

That is an impressive build Steve! 50lbs! That took some time and patience to complete. It deserves to be included!

Kyosho Rev300T
The Kyosho Rev series motors were intended for boats and planes. The marine motors feature water cooling while the plane motors have fan cooling. I have here a Rev300T. There was also a Rev300S. It's an interesting motor to look at as it appears to be a 550 size motor but has a 540 armature. If you ...

Re: Mid-motor B1, B4, B6 V2
For anyone curious... A Mouser heatsink with very thin adhesive graphite thermal pad was added to the top of the Reedy 800z ESC. I'm not sure that it needed it but the OEM flat aluminum just didn't look adequate. The "retention clip" was bent from the spine of an old windshield wiper blade...

Re: 'Rusty' the Pro Radiant
Just realised that I haven't updated this thread in a while... the car has had a couple of additions since I ran it in torrential rain at the Revival.... The first thing I did immediately after that weekend was track down and fit an undertray to protect the electrics from the typical UK summer weath...

Hot Trick Hot Shot - shelfer and runner
Back in the days I had one Hot Trick car. My Tamiya Fox got a full Hot Trick conversion, resulting in a dramatic change of appearance, a debatable upgrade in driving characteristics - and confusion of threads in my screw box. Today I have several Hot Trick conversions where two are runners – a Fox a...

My ultima pro
I present to you my original ultima pro. This was bought off ebay last year as birthday present to myself to give me a large dose of nostalgia. I raced one as a kid back in 91-94 when everybody else had Schumacher cougars and rc10s. I had to replace the front bulkhead and somewhere along the road a ...

Re: Le Mans motor restorations
Great thread! I just read through every page. I only ever had a 240S back in the day, and that was a whim purchase from when I was on a family holiday and stumbled across a small model shop on the island of Jersey (UK Channel Islands) when I was about 13 years old. I have no idea what happened to it...

RJ Speed Nitro Pro Mod
Recently came into my possession. No real plans for it. My cousins did all the work, but gave it to me because they weren't happy with how it ran and knew they'd spend too much time on it if left in their possession. Seriously...
