Could be lead paint. The bill that banned lead paint passed in 1976 which is the same year that that CK760 wouldve been raced.

It's a scratch built car based on plans, and bodies sold by Roy Moody. They used rear pods from Leisure 1/12 pan cars.

Did some Googling to confirm it, and Varicom was a brand name used by Hobby Shack that imported/rebadged RC stuff from Asia BITD (e.g. Thunder Tiger, & Mugen). So, yeah, just like Aristocraft, which was a brand name used by Polk Hobbies to resell the RC stuff they imported from Hitec, etc. KO US...

It's an RC500 front bulkhead with separate upper arm mount blocks that attach via a dovetail slide, so that camber can be adjusted....but who made it? It's molded, not machined so it's probably not a custom one off.

Just remembered I have an aluminum rear pod for the Tamiya Road Wizard/99t sold by Dan's RC Stuff. I think it's pretty rare since I haven't seen another outside of magazines.

I tend to agree. Although I think Phin narrowed down the chassis with the limited side holes to definitely be composite craft as opposed to another vendor(but made by composite craft anyway). They're the 3 slot version (A10-F3S & R3S) but dimensions should be the same.

Look like longer AE truck turnbuckles that have been cut down and re-threaded.

The top one isn't a Cougar 2000? I know very little about Schueys but my understanding was there were a few iterations....the 1st one might be a 1993 spec, and the 2nd one could be a '95 spec Cougar 2000.
