Re: Yokomo Wing 4 Motor - Turns?
How many wire strands are there under the folded tabs of the commutator? One of the tabs will have more than the others, but the others will at least tell you if it's a single wind, double, etc. Unfortunately no easy way to tell how many turns are on it.

Re: The Vintage 1/8 Onroad Thread
And just like that, without me trying, I've managed to build a collection (pile?) of vintage 1/8 onroad stuff..... Can confirm...this can happen. :o grasby1.jpg Picked up this RC500 along with a Delta Eagle (still needs cleaning) a few weeks ago. I'm very much a noob when it comes to 8th scale stuf...

Re: Associated 05 modified
It's no real help figuring out turns/winds, but there are 3 Reedy "Modified 05" motors listed in the Edinger Catalog:
#6505 called a Club Racer
#6510 called a Standard
#6511 called a Sprint (for dirt oval tracks)
In the Cadillac catalog #6510 is renamed to Road, and #6511 to Oval.

Re: Advanced Racing Products RC10 Mid
Patience... two years ago I found another kit on ebay/US, sent it to my friend's mother in Connecticut... and she misplaced it... This Christmas I finally got it sent to Norway! Now! Some questions: -Do I need a custom motor plate or will std fit? -Will the Worlds gearbox fit? The aluminu...

Re: Advanced Racing Products RC10 Mid
Thx! So it's the 6-gear tranny or a MIP tranny? Or Factory Works? 6 gear or MIP, but not the FW. MIP will need a hole drilled in the other side of the case to flip the top shaft. Alternatively you could also reverse the rotation of a mod motor, or use a Hyperdrive belt spur gear so you don't have t...

Re: Advanced Racing Products RC10 Mid
They're vintage parts. They come up on eBay by searching for Hyperdrive, but, except for the pinion pulleys, the parts aren't cheap.
Maybe I should also mention that the belts wouldn't be a great choice if you plan on running the car.

Re: Advanced Racing Products RC10 Mid
Then definitely don't got for the Hyperdrive belts. It's my understanding you can reverse the rotation on brushless motors pretty easily so there's no need to modify the trans cases or motor plate.

Re: Unidentified NODIS parts
Does the thin split gear have the same number of teeth on both sides? Also does the teeth count match the diff gear in your Nodis RC10 trans? That gear might be the diff gear for the shaft drive 4wd RC10 conversion mentioned in this ad . One side of the gear might mate to the contrate/crown gear tha...

Re: The Vintage 1/8 Onroad Thread
Not complete, but a lot cleaner than it was when I got it.
Also got a nice surprise when I cleaned the grime off the diff housing. Made it much easier to ID.
