Are you thinking of HG? Hammad Ghuman? They didn't come into the rc market until waaay later but they did make knock offs

Pretty hard to find, haven't seen one for sale in a long time. That said, the stock ones are super easy and those Molotov chrome pens would probably do an outstanding job

Well, mine ended up being Aristocraft and the brush hoods are similar but different as mine are not directional.

Running change, it looks like they started with a setscrew size hole and moved to a 1/16 pin instead- likely due to it being harder to balance the heavy steel screw. Buds became BRP so you probably can't pin down that the buds package would be a setscrew, but it's more likely than the much later brp...

Buds was still buds at least well into 1991, I think your going to struggle to find a very early pinned ring vs simply notching it out more with a Dremel and calling it a day.

I have some brush motors coming soon as well, starting with 12x1 and 17x1, they will be chrome can instead of the black though. Hopefully will have them available by the time the next big release happens. They will be $19.95 just like the good old days
