Re: It's starting now (Apr2020)... CWF (tub) and Shiny RC10
The next step is to mount the case on the chassis... given the recent findings on how accurate the chassis is, I was a bit worried to be honest  But it all went smooth - the holes line up. I gues they used the stealth (steel) drill jig, hard to miss then  Still I didn't analyse the sym...

Re: It's starting now (Apr2020)... CWF (tub) and Shiny RC10
So after a lot of fiddling, and many many screwing/unscrewing of ballcups onto turnbuckles, this is what we end up with: https://images2.imgbox.com/b9/ce/97lW6pzQ_o.jpg It fits. This is not my favourite ballcup design, but it's still politically correct (as my friend @Patriiick coined it  ) an...

Re: It's starting now (Apr2020)... CWF (tub) and Shiny RC10
Shocks, some bottom loaders - nothing special, they just went through a rebuild - They have #3 pistons F/R, but again, for shelf duties, this will be ok  previously polished by the previous owner - not perfect but I don't have the gear to make it better, so it's close enough and will be discre...

Yokomo Works '92
Ok... so who is ready to see an amazing transformation....? I have been gathering a few nice optional parts for a Works build for a while now, whilst keeping my eyes open for a suitable donor car. This bargain then appeared, and I felt so sorry for it I had to buy it. Look away if easily offended. I...

Re: we all have big toys too don't we? show off your ride!
My S2000 that I've had for 13 years now. Saw this car in this color at the 2006 Detroit auto show and was smitten. Bought one a year later in January 2007. Only ever use it on weekends and road trips, been to myrtle beach and the UP. Fun story about the UP trip. Came around a corner at speed and cam...

PK Corally 1/12 Car Build
Group 6: Steering blocks & king-pins 20200709_212623.jpg Similar to the C car, the stub axle is shaved with a semi-circular recess to clear the king pin. However, instead of a stub axle, in the case of the PK Corally, you have a rotating axle to the ballraced steering block (the front wheel does...

Really nice build Paul ! Thanks for the kind commens Phil! The M8 is great - the menu is so intuitive. I currently run an ...

TLR 22-4 build
I know this doesn't qualify as vintage, but I wanted to do a build thread on the 22-4 because of how similar it is to the XX4. It's essentially just a modernized version, and the last of the unique 3 belt 4WD buggies. Today all of the 4WD 1/10 buggies look alike - shaft driven with center diff. It's...
