No turning back.
Chassis is drilled and we have what looks like a working steering setup. Some minor adjustments left, but overall happy with it.

Re: RC10 FF
Sacrilegious some may say!
I’ve had this Novak NER-3FM in a drawer for quite some time due to that someone before me had cut the housing around the crystal and it looked like crap.
Finally found use for it.
Mounted a Futaba 2.4 GHz R204GF-E circuit board in the Novak housing.

Re: RC10 FF
Fabricated stanchions for the upper chassis plate. They are on the thin side, but then again there’s six of em plus the battery box. The battery box will be fixed with double sided tape to chassis and screwed into the upper deck. Composite Craft Teflon tape under steering rack for smooth operation. ...

Re: RC10 FF
Finally!! This has been soo dreaded and mentally exhausting, but now the rear axles are done!! Just hope they will hold up. Inner screw is threaded in the trailing arm. Outer screw is threaded in the axle with a amount of adjustment for the toe in setting. Next up is shock and sway bar mounts. Then ...

Re: RC10 FF
Worked on the trailing arms and have to consider them done as far as for the M2 grub screws that will fix the toe in adjustment.
It’s almost a finished roller.

Re: RC10 FF
Brushless Stealth tranny done for the RC10 FF.
Grinded of a reinforcement knee on the housing to accommodate a stronger shock tower as I want to route the motor wires through the hole in the bulkhead.

Re: RC10 FF
Shock tower 2.0
I wanted to route the motor wires through the bulkhead hole so a new shock tower had to be made.
This change resulted in that I had to grind of a small portion of the gearbox, but it had no structural support.. I think.

Yokomo wheel offset -conclusion-
I need some help from you guys.
Is there a Yokomo wheel that has a offset that is between ZC-827C and ZC-835?
I have a pair of ZC-827C and they rub the steering knuckles and at full steer the shocks.
and I tested a pair of ZC-835 and then the car becomes too wide.
Picture with Kyosho 2.2"

Wow. It's pretty clear that this is the "deep end of the pool" when it comes to builds! Absolutely amazing. Can't wait to see it running. Thank you so much, chilihook. It is quite a substantial build and it’s a bit learning by doing. Fortunately the knowledge is out there and after much r...

Re: RC10 FF
My thought is to leave it as it is now.adam lancia wrote: ↑Fri Jan 22, 2021 5:28 am Are you leaving the rear section of the body intact or chopping it off flush with the rear of the chassis?
Something similar to the HPI-Koga FF, but the Mirage is way longer than the Ultima body.
