Re: Gas buggy
The rear bulkhead gets the majority of the work. The battery cup needs shaved completely to fit in between the GT arm mounts and to make room for a battery. I shaved down where the trans brace mounts to get closer to the height of the GT trans. The brace is a custom piece as it’s longer than a facto...

RCCA carbon chassis RC10 build
I built this RC 10 in the early 90’s while I was working at RC Car Action mag. Dig it out the other day. Had Tekin 410k esc. Carbon fiber tub chassis. Anodized old style shock bodies from Associated. Reedy motor. Did an article about it but don’t have the issues around.

Re: RCCA carbon chassis RC10 build
So it was the July 1991 issue. Same body as used in the photos.
I remember we had a Massami car in the office and I traced the logo on the roof of his car.

RC10 Tekin active link mid motor conversion with SACS front suspension
Just got inspired by some threads on the Tekin conversion to post an old build. As per usual I had collected parts for a long time and wanted to build a mid motor conversion for vintage racing on modern carpet tracks. In 2014 I was ready to assemble a car for the Nordic Vintage Challenge. Ended up d...

Re: RC10 Tekin active link mid motor conversion with SACS front suspension
An old scratched up golden nose plate was stripped and sanded for a good finish and kick-up adjusted to 25 degrees. Then a coat of black and the SACS mounted.

Re: RC10 Tekin active link mid motor conversion with SACS front suspension
Ok, from the active caster provided by Schumacher at the front end we continue to the active camber at the rear... Overhauled a black case stealth and flipped the top shaft the right way for the mid motor configuration and mounted it to the Tekin motor plate from the kit. On this build I've used the...

Masami Hirosaka car review Nov ‘90
Nice rear shock mount detail (which is actually the same rock 'n' roll design as the Dunn Pro Radiant front end mod). The upper chassis brace looks to be comprised of two bars as well if you look closely - upper and lower. 342885958_279559671166653_2920635493659941899_n.jpg 342720074_126018680458811...

Insane Speed Run RC10L
I thought for sure I posted this car when I first built it but I can't find the thread. Anyway, I decided to change up a few things to make it more like a proper speed run car of the period. These are the parts I added: - Tecnacraft Aero-Trac & diff hub - HPI front arm brace, pro rear upper plat...

Re: RC10 Tekin active link mid motor conversion with SACS front suspension
Rounding off the build with how the car eventually turned out. The first year I tried out some different parts, but the last years the build has settled. In addition to the parts mentioned above, todays sits are as follows: Body: AE #6121 Viper Axles: AE 6369 CVA Shocks: AE hard anodized 1.32 and 0....
