OK OK even I got caught up in the last MIP "announcement". Should have known. So, lets do it again. The Ten4 was good, but the parts are just all out of date. The B44 front axles especially. Materials have vastly improved. Ideas have improved. Announcing the Ten4.1 I started by completely ...
Got a little further tonight. Redesigned the steering cranks for some extra throw, and designed a new belt tensioner that should be a lot easier to use. The final piece will be machined aluminum. The slotted portion retains a nut so to adjust you just loosen the screw slightly and you don't have to ...
After wanting one of these as a kid 30+ years ago after seeing the magazine ad, I was finally able to build an Ultra Molded buggy. Just added a few period mods but nothing too crazy. I was so tempted to add some stickers to this blank canvas, but it looks just too good to cover up. - MIP CVD's...
Several have asked about white parts. They are not as strong as the new pa12 black pieces, but it seems several are building cars for the shelf so I ordered in some white sla parts. I also added the front CVDs for short arm builds however they haven't arrived yet. The new platform won't require anyt...
The final piece for the first 50 arrived today, and the second batch of pulleys and gears are due late next week. Things are shaping up! Oh, and the instructions are on the website now also although word destroyed my pics and I need to redo that portion. https://factoryworks.com/the-ten4-returns
I have all the parts I need for this build, but I haven't had the motivation to get it started. I also love having all these parts NIP, so it's easy to let it sit. Once they get opened, you can never go back.
I had to get a correctly labeled RPM front bumper, lol.
I just realized I hadn't shown off the latest two pieces. All new kits are coming with machined nylon bellcranks, and we have optional aluminum caster blocks now as well. With those two parts, we are just left with 2 printed parts on the car. The bulkhead and front gearbox.
Soooooo.........been gone 10ish years.....family, kids blah blah. A track has opened up nearby with a bash night and a race night so time for a car. Here we go......OIN build #2. For reference here is #1. https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?t=23919 Starting with a crappy painted B stamp and truck...
Its no 410 kit but looks like they are re-releasing the cvd kits for the rc10 and rc10t. Only flaw I can see is that they are going to be doing 1/4" axles only from the pictures so we are on our own to swap them out for 3/16" ones to fit modern wheels. I know we already have other drivesha...
For this coming weekend. Yellow one is my sons 1991 team car, mostly stock minus 12mm shocks and FW NIX towers. the grey one is an A stamp chassis geometry/flex test car I built after our Jan Vintage event here in NC [/img]. The cars are 90% the same but with a few more tuning options on the grey ca...
While my NRC24's electronics were taken for the K24 I still haven't stopped doing stuff to it. Recently it got a fresh body painted up and I made some mini Turbo Scorpion wheels for it to match it's larger sibling. IMG_20240828_172253685_HDR.jpg I did notice that the rear track width of this car was...
