Re: New Build - NIB B2 Japan Export
Alright chassis is together! PXL_20241008_124310872_C46nFyGI9L.jpeg PXL_20241008_124331431_2X3eGqbF2O.jpeg First white part is a silly one, but I dig it! Rear hub spacer. It was black in my later B2 kit back in the day. PXL_20241008_124351830_14L3qcwv01.jpeg Time to build the best shocks in the indu...

Re: Tap for the 8-32 screws
#8 is the size and 32 threads per inch is the pitch. An 8-32 tap is the correct specification.

Re: New Build - NIB B2 Japan Export
Alright, everyone, this is it. Woke up this morning motivated to get the body done. This is a body I had on another car, so it isn't perfect, but the paint was close enough to the box art/Matt Francis design, that It was worth putting on this ride. I removed the stickers that weren't correct, and be...

Bag-O-Parts SRT
Here's an SRT in a bag.
All parts are new although the screws will slow me down as I haven't ordered any.
Jeff's kits/conversions are always well put together.

Re: Bag-O-Parts SRT
And here the transmission is mounted in the truck. The shiny CVD bones fit so I'm pretty happy about that. I left the heatsink things on as it seems like something that would have been an option back in the day, kinda Litesink-ish. I also decided on a different gear cover, it's a T3 cover which I'm ...

Re: RC150 Build - My First AE 1/8 Nitro Onroad Car
I finally got my cheap CNC to start playing ball by simply lying to it about certain parameters. :D I have to tell it that bits are smaller than they actually are so that it will cut further, and after more testing, this works just fine. I need to see if there is a possibility that I can write this ...

Re: RC150 Build - My First AE 1/8 Nitro Onroad Car
I got the tank built. I did go ahead and build and install a sump box for it, and ran the internal lines close to what the instructions call for. Maybe there is a secret to bending 1/8 brass tube that I don't know about (I am thinking heat), but it isn't really as malleable in the real world as it i...

Re: RC150 Build - My First AE 1/8 Nitro Onroad Car
Had a little time earlier today to get the throttle and brake links set up. This is not Asso correct, and purists may cringe, but this was my way to go about it. Still need to get to the steering linkage. I bought some square shaft Futaba servo horns, but on top of them being weird and square, appar...

Re: RC10 - A Stamp Rebuild - '85 Jammin' Jay Halsey Tribute
This might help with the wing setup? e0f854_ccf8ab505d6544938db1b3d3c18f7ca5~mv2.jpg I was going for the actual car that won the '85 IFMAR 2WD buggy race, not the magazine cars. Re: The 'Holiest' of Holy Grails AGI Jammer Build
One question about flipping the gearbox around to do a mid motor. Isn't a reverse rotator motor needed, or a 0 degree timing motor that can be run reverse polarity for driving forward? I've always flipped the top shaft direction when I do a mid motor to keep motor rotation in the normal direction. ...
