1985 IFMAR Offroad 1/10 World Championships
I traveled to Del Mar in July of 1985 to attend the first 1/10 scale off road championships. I had a 35mm SLR camera and took 50+ pictures. Some good, some not so good. The pictures were on display in my hobby shop until I closed it in the early 90's. If you want to take a look I have them in an alb...

Re: Coyote time!
Finally getting this back on the workbench to install Dadio ’s double wheel bearing adapters, put on the front bumper and install a limiting spacer on the rear shocks because the dogbones are getting pulled out of the drive cups. https://i.postimg.cc/DZPgKq73/8-BD84-D24-7963-467-D-95-D2-F4535-D0108-...

Re: Coyote time!
I decided to install the stock electronics and vintage radio gear in this thing. Even though I have done a few subtle mods/improvements, I still want to keep this looking like a box stock build. And when was the last time you saw a good pic of the stock mechanical speed controller properly installed...

Re: 4wd SRB Trailing arm buggy
I think if I make longer front towers and a long shock end I can run short golds on the front and still clear the drive axles. Built the Tamiya SRB diffs and installed them. I'll need to figure steering pretty soon as well. BTW Corally sedan CVDSfit almost perfectly, not that it's period correct. If...

Re: 834b Delta-ish racer
Few more parts going on to the mock-up build now, and some subtle trimming and stickering for the Cheetah Dogfighter bodyshell. The rear bar and shocks sit within the bodyshell which is cool, although part of me does think i could dramatically lower it by having them stick through the shell. Undecid...

Re: SG Coyote time!
Got some 1” clear heat shrink tubing and separated a nice looking vintage 1200SC stick battery pack to make the Coyote nunchaku style pack. https://i.postimg.cc/zBrnFBBf/7910762-D-01-D3-40-A5-8-E4-F-4-D3-CC0-B45-A78.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/C5Mk9QbT/0-ABA905-D-103-D-47-A0-A503-8055547-E7-B28.jpg htt...

Re: rere Turbo Scorpion build
Well done, sir. I've found the overall quality of Kyosho products are second to none and I believe the TS is one of the best looking 2wd buggies of all time. If anyone is interested... Out of the box, my runner car tended to oversteer on a loose dirt track so I've made some rear suspension mods to p...

Re: Forum News & Discussion
I'm currently attempting to better organize the 'Other Makes/Models' forum by creating sub-forums within it for some of the manufactures. Hopefully this helps people to better find and contribute information. It should also help with search engine optimization. For some reason though, the process of...

TAG/SG Coyote/Pro10 undertray
Thanks to several other members of the RC community this little nugget is winging its way to me at the moment. It looks to be the same undertray style used by Umberto Pernice in Romsey in 1987, and to me appears to be the same shape as the Coyote bodyshell. Whether that doubles over to the Pro10 she...

Re: SG Coyote differences
It's odd that Tag opted to go to die cast alloy for the latest version , an investment to make the moulds but cheaper in the long run ? I'd have thought they would stick to the steel ones as the cost of machining new moulds and redesigning the splined output shafts must have been quite high ?

Re: SG Coyote differences
Great breakdown of these gears! The cast/pot metal ones have been a curiosity for me..like the similar ring gear. The ones I have are cast a bit rough with flash, so they would need some file work to be smooth. I will add this 4th version.. Hardened steel gears but 12 tooth like the plastic & ca...
