Re: RCH motors - any knowledge there on company and motors?
RCH repackaged some motors that were basically the factory Tamiya motors. It came about from a massive shipping accident over seas. Later on we became involved with Big Jim at Checkpoint but we never built or produced motors directly….if I recall these were down with the help of Big Jim. He was also...

Re: RCH motors - any knowledge there on company and motors?
RCH stood for Radio Controlled Hobbies. Was founded by my dad after closing his Speed Shop at the end of his drag racing career. We started in 1/12 scale electric on road and moved to 1/10th scale off road and opened tracks down the street from the shop. Started manufacturing parts and it grew from ...

Re: RCH motors - any knowledge there on company and motors?
I am the son you are referring to. There were no partners in the MFG side, my dad eventually took on a partner on the shop side, and he eventually bought out the shop and moved it. There were both off road and on road tracks about 100 yards from the shop. Also became a distributor so to be control t...

Re: Parma K Modified motor (Kyosho Le Mans based)
Since this thread is only a little over 8 years old I will bump it up with a few K mod pics. There was a small separation of the bottom packaging, so I just pried it a bit to get the motor out. This is a code #17 - 15 Quad. IMG-0957 (2) (Large).jpg IMG-0956 (2) (Large).jpg IMG-0955 (2) (Large).jpg

Re: Coyote Rethink
This has been waiting on my having two minutes for a while now but this is the next step , this adds 10 degrees kick to the front arms , its about as far as you can go while retaining some DNA , what I've done is modify the front bulkhead , the bulkhead behind the diff pumpkin and the top arm mount ...

Re: Coyote Rethink
It's a bit of a challenge , I've just sorted most of it but it will need a guard under the rear screws for the bottom arms as they will be a lowest point , that's unavoidable though .

Re: Mid-Six Spare Parts Project
The BASIC car is complete! I got the electronics cleaned up and installed. Installed new bullet plugs on the ESC, and I shortened the servo wire (and found out age is catching up with me trying to see it  ). ....I haven't taken it out yet, but I did bench test everything. ...Next thing is to ...

Re: Maxxum FF to the lineup
It has been a while, but I've finally started on the paint and decals. As the body has a scoop there's no way of applying a decal and getting it right. So I decided to paint the blue, orange and red. The MCA decal sheet is way to big to scale, so I'll have to cut and paste..probably order some 1.0 m...

Re: Coyote Rethink
A little chassis rectification to fit the suspension mods and the top arm/shock mount modified to be able to mount a shock tower . chassis v48.png Ultimately the chassis may look very different as I'm thinking of moving the motor to one side , the battery to the other and using a mostly two deck cha...

Re: Coyote Rethink
Test print of parts , the chassis plate is only the front section and the cut is a vertical cut so you can use it as reference.

Re: Coyote Rethink
Started the major chassis mods , the aim is to lay the motor to one side rather than have it right up top in order to lower the centre of gravity , the battery will be a standard shape and lay flat on the opposite side and more centrally , as close to the prop shaft as possible in order to balance t...

Re: 4wd SRB Trailing arm buggy
After like 4 months, I got back to this thing. Front shock fitment was at a stand still, but I decided to use Optima re re shocks. I mocked up a bunch of stuff, but the best way to get the shock in and keep it from hitting everything on the front end was to lop off the SRB mounts and make a fibergla...

Re: 4wd SRB Trailing arm buggy
After last night I was pretty motivated to get the front end set up. I kinda cribbed off of 1300GT's steering set up, but used some MIP Rc10 steering arms. I wanted to set the servo off to the side so I could move the battery around or use a long pack. I don't know where the weight needs to be. I ca...
