Re: Mugen Super Sport '92 buggy
The buggy is more or less completed at this point. As I only have a pair of side guards, and the muffler side needs trimming, not knowing if I would eventually change back to the conventional muffler position, I decided simply not to install the side guards for now. The body has been sent off for pa...

Raider Pro Resurrection
I finally finished my Turbo Raider Pro restoration project that started in January when I pulled my old RC stuff out from my parents' attic. It was partially reassembled with the stock Outlaw motor after I had wrecked it in the mid-90s trying to run a hotter motor (which caused the MSC contacts to w...

Factory Works Ten4.1 project
OK OK even I got caught up in the last MIP "announcement". Should have known. So, lets do it again. The Ten4 was good, but the parts are just all out of date. The B44 front axles especially. Materials have vastly improved. Ideas have improved. Announcing the Ten4.1 I started by completely ...

Re: Personal lap timer stand
And viola ! Looks almost like the factory one. Not perfect but definitely looks better than the brick, although, the brick is still probably more stable and robust, lol. I know the newer personal lap timers are better with an app for your phone and whatnot but I like my semi-nostalgic set up. 202407...

Serpent 988e Taipan (my 2nd one), maybe a runner ;)
As mentioned some time ago, I acquired a second Serpent Taipan 988e This last one should normally be my first 1/8 runner !!! I still have to find a "soft" combo, because I am not a great driver ;) to be able to drive at "la Spéciale de la Montluçonnaise" at the beginning of Septe...

Re: Kyosho SRT, or is it SRT Outrage?
Traxosho is nearly done...... I spent WAY too much on shocks for this thing!! I knew they were the right lengths, and even though I wanted the Yokomo YZ-2 shocks which were a little cheaper I didn't know if they were exactly the same. They are huge, way too big.... although.... they work well and fi...

Re: Kyosho SRT, or is it SRT Outrage?
And this is what it will look like when finished .......
Does it need an antenna poking through the body or not?

Re: Kyosho SRT, or is it SRT Outrage?
Electronics wired up and tested. Speed control is a Hobbywing V3.1. When I originally bought it long ago it was listed as a standard V3.1 but when it came it was the waterproof version  The waterproof version has a super short sensor cable epoxied in, external switch and a pigtail fan lead. I ...

Modified custom SRB front end
Tamiya SRB; remarkable. Some thinks it started a generation of 1/10 RC. Many aftermarket parts. Its front end is sloppy but no good upgrade so far imho. MIP 4wd tower + custom; (1) woven graphite tubes, (2) titanium pins, (3) topcad CNC hubs (ready for 4wd?), (4) red RCH arms, (5) thorp ball cups… h...

Re: Kyosho SRT, or is it SRT Outrage?
Many many thanks to Frankentruck for sending me some 3D printed rear body mounts for this, they look and fit amazing and I can't thank him enough!! They aren't the easiest to see in this photo but the finish is fantastic. They are 10mm longer. 20240905_204212.jpg Body finally mounted solidly on both...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Finished up a 3d printed speed control and top portion of a servo. The wires from an ESC just clip in.
