Ultimately, I'll do as always. There is absolutely no reason whatsoever to keep this as NIP :-)

Became a first time Dad

I became a new dad to a newborn son. Strange for me to say it after all these years. I was THAT guy thinking it wasn't necessary, that it would be okay unmarried and without kids. No looking back now lol! Typing this as I try to figure out the basics of holding, changing, burping, balancing work, be...

Re: Became a first time Dad

Thank you all! I really appreciate the practical advice around infant fathering too...your stories and suggestions are so helpful! Lot of trial and error, dividing roles to make the process efficient. Taking a simple shower and eating a quiet meal suddenly became a small luxury haha. In Korea, the g...

Re: Dyeing Super Star wheels

OK, 20 minutes into the acetone bath and we are seeing results, as evidenced by the slimy feathers of yellowy clearcoat floating away from the wheel. 20240112_083622.jpg This is fantastic, as I was too sally to dip them in acetone myself. Which may likely remove the stubborn chrome I couldn't get r...

Plan C RC10T3 Shelfer

We're going racin' again !! This time with an RC10T3 which isn't my favorite truck but on paper it's ideal for vintage racing. The SRT will sit on the sidelines for now. Many thanks to Alex for selling me this blank canvas to work with. So far I've torn it down and thoroughly cleaned everything and ...

Re: Bored? Come To The Chit / Chat Thread

This week I started into my winter build. So far, it is an axle, a body, and some wheels. And since then I have decided to scrap the wheels. Seems like a perfect start. :D

Re: Plan B RC10T3 Racer

Gonna be a good one. I had such fun with the T3 bitd. I didn't even know what I was doing, really, and I still did OK with it. It's a basket case at the moment, in a box, in storage. Oh, it's all there, somewhere. It was kind of the forgotten truck in the AE line up I feel. I think being the ...

Re: Dyeing Super Star wheels

Thanks for all of this great information. I am planning to dye some HPI wheels, and now I know to really watch the temperature.

Re: Dyeing Super Star wheels

Could be a combo of the acetone bath and the heat from dying.

I used to boil all my hpi star rims back in the day to get old tires off them with no issues

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - January 2024 ** - Winner - coxbros1

Some MSC might have been ok if you couldn't get your hands on an ESC, but I can't think of a reason to prefer an MSC. Plus MSCs wear out, get dead spots, need wiper arm tweaking, etc. When replacing a worn out MSC, it just felt wrong to not be putting that $ towards an ESC. An MSC is just unused par...
