Re: upper shock mount bushing - jrx

I agree regarding aluminum on aluminum galling. But the ones I was interested in were by Avid RC. They use a sleeve over the aluminum post. https://www.amainhobbies.com/avid-rc-tlr-22x4-ringer-shock-standoffs-4-avd10109-22x4/p1450396 Since I am not familiar with the new TLR 22x line of shocks, I was...

Re: SWB TRX-1 BUILD: UPDATE 24DEC2022

Another beautiful build from you. I really like the short chassis. The TRX1 is such a great looking car.

Schumacher Cougar 2000 Ad

The Cougar 2000 came out in 1993 as Schumacher's replacement for the Cougar II 2wd buggy. Gone was the aluminum chassis and belt driven transmission, replaced by a double deck fiberglass chassis, gear driven trans, as well as longer control arms and other improvements. Shown in this half page ad is ...

Re: Your top Three Vintage Keepers (by manufacturer)

All Composite Craft (non-TRC) here, so I'd go with: Predator (version3 with chassis pre-drilled for Lynx upgrade), Predator Lynx and then Predator Lynx (version2 with the nylon upper link posts).

Re: Your top Three Vintage Keepers (by manufacturer)

Lol! I remember that ad, and 129 bucks was indeed cheap in retrospect. Like the overengineered Avante...looking cool is all that matters. I would like to get a TopCat in the future...and a Traxxas TRX-1...love the long simple, futuristic, flowing body.

Re: Your top Three Vintage Keepers (by manufacturer)

Oh that is a tough question and one I may have to potentially contemplate in the near future…but I have the collection split into shelf queens that I would find hard to let go and a lot of basket cases that could go tomorrow…if I wasn’t attempting to restore every single basket case I came across! S...

Schumacher Fireblade 2000 Ad

Schumacher introduced an all new 2wd buggy in 1997, the Fireblade 2000. An exercise in radically lower center of gravity, everything on the Fireblade was about getting vehicle weight as close to the ground as possible. The redesigned slipperless gear driven transmission, reduced height carbon fiber ...

Re: Tamiya Tyrrell P34 6-Wheeler 1977 Argentine - Reissue

Lovely car ! Brings back memories for me, I went to church with Adam and Clair Tyrrell , niece and nephew of Ken Tyrrell who owned the team . I visited their factory a couple of times , sat in the cars , looking back it was all a very primitive and fairly small factory, more a set of workshops , I g...

Re: Super Clod build with a few mods

Added servo savers, linkage, and bolted everything together. The tires got some homemade foam fillers added before gluing them to the wheels. . 1000010299.jpg . 1000010298.jpg . 1000010302.jpg .
