Traxxas Lineup 1998

Traxxas' lineup of electric cars, trucks and boats from 1998 that devoted, quite interestingly, ad space to the recently updated Sledgehammer, which would share retail shelf space with its younger Stampede brother: Rustler: 1/10 2wd stadium truck released in 1994, spearheaded Traxxas' second generat...

Re: FanRC FR01 TEN4.1 (Revised)

I think I had my rear shocks set up per the World's manual, and the inner holes on the TEN 4.1 shock tower are the same width as I had them set up on the FR01, so inner tower holes and outer arm holes should be right, but I may be off there. It is good enough to start with either way. FR011041 BUILD...

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - September 2024 ** - Winner - RC10th

I'm sure we all remember the giant glass case of R/C cars at Toys R Us, and not to mention the aisle with all the NES flip cards where we would stand for as long as our mom would let us and try to determine which game to buy from reading the maker's outlandish descriptions and a few microscopic scre...

Re: KITTS K80 Magic ESC

Very cool looking piece. Good anesthetics. That counts for a lot. I love vintage Novak stuff, but I've never liked the color orange much, so I always prefer the stealth look of vintage Tekin.

Team Losi JRx2

In 1988 Gil Losi and his son Gil Jr. entered the world of RC car manufacturing with the introduction of the JRx2 1/10 2wd off-road buggy. Designed to be a complete racing solution that did not required the purchase of aftermarket components to be race ready, the JRx2 came fully tricked out. Construc...

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - September 2024 ** - Winner - RC10th

Awesome month. Yokomized RC10 looks brilliant. I also like the look of R16's car for exuding this authentic vintage-charme. For my personal taste the meticulous period correct Yokomo YR4 is so outstanding, I normally couldn't get around it. But finally my vote goes to THECHEETAHCAUGHTHISEYE becase I...

Re: Losi XXT Restoration Project

Started assembling today. Was surprised that the KNK hardware kit was metric also many of the screws are button heads and not cap heads. Liking the kit overall the stainless doesn’t look out of place. The Dragonpunch RC Ti ballstuds are a great bit of kit, very nicely machined. Was glad to fine new ...

Re: Losi XXT Restoration Project

Got more assembly done this evening. Turnbuckles look great. Using a Losi steering bearing kit and the action on the steering is awesome. Noticed there is a bit of slop where the caster block and control arms connect, I might try making some shims. Hate how discolored the bell cranks are and might m...

Losi JRx Pro

In 1990 Team Losi released the JRx Pro, an updated version of their National Championship winning JRx2 1/10th 2wd electric off-road buggy. An evolutionary step in the buggy's development the new Pro model was an amalgamation of a JRx2 and all the "Pro Conversion" parts Team Losi had create...

Re: What your workstation looks like?

i have been busy since April designing, getting quotes, and overseeing the install of my workshop expansion. The original building was 14 x 30. The addition doubles it. I had to change out the breaker panel so it would have enough power for tools and HVAC. Driveway was expanded to accommodate extra ...
