Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - November 2024 ** - Winner - Incredible_Serious
Allow me to present my PB Mini Mustang, as raced in the recently-completed Vintage Bash V3 down here at the Knox offroad track, Melbourne Australia. No shelf queen here! MIniMustang.jpg Has installed a silver can motor as per the class rules, matched to a Hobbywing 1060 ESC. Radio gear is basic FlyS...

It may look like a RC10 but it's actually a 1/24 scale NRC-24 nrc24.jpg nrc24-2.jpg Build Thread: https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?t=48693 I modified this one to use Proline oil filled shocks and made some 5 spoke wheels to match most of my 1/10 fleet. Really fun little build, some video of me...

Re: Robb's Garage
Futaba FX-10s. I had ended up collecting random, mostly junky, FX10s in an attempt to rebuild the first "hobby grade" RC I ever had. I ended up with enough parts and pieces to originally put together three different versions. 1) box art stock, 2) a more modern "runner," 3) a mons...

Interfab Viper EX-10. This car was well preserved rare car, and really just need a bit of TLC. It ended up being a BOTM winner.

Re: Robb's Garage
The AE TF10. I just wanted to build a long, dual deck, TF AE based car, so I did this. I feel like I rushed the paint, and want to revisit this in the future to top it off more correctly. tf10 build 1.jpg TF10 BUILD 11.jpg TF10 BUILD 16.jpg TF10 BUILD 18.jpg TF10 DONE 2.jpg TF10 DONE 1.jpg

Bag-O-Parts SRT
Here's an SRT in a bag.
All parts are new although the screws will slow me down as I haven't ordered any.
Jeff's kits/conversions are always well put together.

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - November 2024 ** - Winner - Incredible_Serious
Here's my build for this years VONATS, it started life as a nitro GT i picked up from a guy on the GT fb groups and i kinda went ham on it lol, i made the shock towers with slight geometry changes to accommodate the length change in the Yokomo big bore shocks, made a motor mount, battery mount, tran...

Re: Bag-O-Parts SRT
Tonight's progress.... Out of the three of these kits that I built this one is by far my favorite chassis kit. The fiberglass is fairly translucent and has a nice texture to it. 20241107_231622.jpg Unfortunately I didn't have the header card for the battery box as I ripped it apart when I pulled it ...

Re: Bag-O-Parts SRT
I countersunk the top plate like the real truck. I found some 4mm black Phillips head screws but will swap them out with Allen key screws, I forgot to pick some up after work  20241107_231730.jpg I also countersunk the shock tower like the original. This kit included a 3d printed rear bulkhead...

Re: Rere Team car spotted at SEMA
Couldn't they 'team car' any of the models by adding the better shocks? Maybe this is a CE team car? The choice of anodize color seems a trivial thing but more units will sell if a re-release is faithful to the original. While the 40th is a very close recreation of the original, the DS, 10T and thi...

Re: A Nice article on self-tapping screws for plastic
Idk, I back thread before threading in, I've never stripped a screw hole with one of these. Seems like if you exercise some amount of caution you'll be fine on the reassembly front.
