So there is still a modern aftermarket top shaft available for the slipper conversion aside from the STRC one! Nice nugget of info there. Thanks. How's the fit on that top shaft? I found the STRC one to be ever-so-slightly wobbly. Even after the precision shimming effort. Didn't seem to be an end-p...

Narrowed a bandit bulkhead, redrilled the mounting holes and made a hinge pin brace.

The front with is a little wider then stock, pretty sure I can compensate the different with caster blocks or wheel off set

I received my anodized parts today. My fault on not pulling the steel pins from the flywheel. Totally didn’t even think about it. No worries though I have another (cooler) flywheel inbound. Painted this one today. Trying to keep myself busy while my house is under quarantine. Not sure which body actually came with the team car kit, but I thought a manual art style paint job would look nice on a scoopless turbo mirage. Let me know what you guys think.

Are there any tires that will work with the old three piece wheels without glueing? You need to use the inner plastic ring on the 3 piece wheels to clamp the tire beads. The whole purpose of the 3 piece wheels is to secure the tires without glue, but you need to use all 3 pieces to do that. If you ...

I always get a kick out of it being called a hotshot clone. Besides the front knuckles and shock plastics not much else is even close to fitting. The hotshot was mid motor. Cantilever monoshock rear. Completely different diffs. Ripper had 4 wheel steering with dual bellcranks. Hotshot had no cranks....

I've been thinking about the gearbox a bit more, and It was obviously designed for a specific purpose. I've been into pullers closing in on 20 years now, and nothing adds up in that regard.
