On really intricate aluminum parts I use a airbrush mini sandblaster.
Not to be used on larger surfaces as you will be sitting there for quite a while.

Thanks for the insights. In reading, the Bandit seems kind of prone to understeer. I'm thinking of bringing it down to a RC10 length wheelbase.

I got this project pretty far today. I swapped on these Trinity 5 spoke wheels. I prefer them to the pink clones.
