Re: TRX-1 Mods and Parts guide

I have found that the Axial 20t top gear fits the TRX gearbox perfectly. It's made of metal - so much better than the plastic parts and its cheap . Part AX30394 Also, the 18mm HSP idler shaft works perfectly. I use the Traxxas 1996 idler and insert narrowed Tamiya plastic bushings in the transmissio...

Damn! That thing look great. I like the paintwork. This is quickly becoming my favorite vintage car, next to the XX.

Re: Associated's '89 Stealth car (RC10GX)

A little update.
Du-bro 1/16” collars that hold the wing in place.
At the front: Xray 5.8 mm pivot balls are as close to original Yokomo as it gets. Looks much better than the long Kyosho ones.

Re: Associated's '89 Stealth car (RC10GX)

Original RC10 shock end pivot balls were ~5.8mm. The ballstuds were 4.3mm.

Re: Do vintage batteries for display leak over time?

Maybe there is a market there for someone to exploit. Manufacture tiny metal can sized like a NiCad but have the "positive terminal" be a plug. Use the plug to add BBs or lead or whatever to weight it properly. People could print or buy the decals they want for their application.

Re: Do vintage batteries for display leak over time?

Here are the Team Associated cell place holders I mentioned previously. I don't know it you can still find them but they would not be very hard to make. cut some metal disks to glue on the ends and shrink wrap them as you see fit.

Re: nitro rustler to bandit mid kit bash

It's getting closer. Have a lot of details left but its basically assembled. mostly parts I had laying around. The protech 2 body seemed to fit the best.

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

Actually last night, but whatever. Sad little Grasshopper rehab. Maybe rehab is excessive, as it's still a basketcase. Picked up this thing for $40, shipped. Then I dug through my junk and found enough stuff to piece it back together. Screenshot_20230202_175841_Gallery.jpg Screenshot_20230203_094512...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

I started installing vintage electronics in my JRX-Pro and had to pause because I’m not sure that I like it.. The bare chassis looks so awesome by itself! Anyone else have this dilemma? https://i.postimg.cc/rwrtdSFk/FFEB1-FCB-DD9-F-4770-A890-2-C4501202653.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/G2F97QVM/0-CBDBA31-...

TRX-1 Build (CAD)

I think I have a company that can make these Chassis. Does anyone have CAD or a drawing of one? The person that got them made back in 2013 may not be active on the board anymore. I emailed but I have not gotten a response. It looks like I have enough info to make a TRX1 Chassis. So I changed this th...

Re: Help needed: transmission identification

Greetings. New member, first time poster, and a fan of RC cars from way back. My first car was a Christmas present back in the late 80’s. My big brother and I received matching Sears RC cars. We raced them, crashed them (many times), and we were hooked. We both dove into RC cars with my brother fal...

Re: Kyosho Pro X build

I am still waiting on the wing, which appears to be a month away still. So here are some pictures of the body. I just did a simple pearl white paint. I ordered the decals from MCI, and changed the orange to purple. I really like how the purple looks over the orange. MCI is a great resource, but the ...
