Some people may know my love for Delta cars.
I always dreamed about driving a Delta Super-J at a race track but it had to be electric, because I gave up on gas engines long ago.
Around one year ago I started to brainstorm about the project and it...

Spotted this 1981 attempt at a Super-J electric in a magazine:
elecsuperj.jpg
Talk about bad handling characteristics...I can only imagine what dangling 6 cells that far out over each side of the car, then reducing the weight at the rear axle...
Im not a huge Delta person but I really like the early era cars. I couldn't pass up the opportunity on this new built car. I'm still researching and looking for old magazine articles to learn more about the car. But im guessing they were introduced...

Thanks Alex. Every so often I find a good one. Hopefully I'll find some period correct parts for it someday.
I´m into RC since about 30 years now (with some off times) and have run about any possible electric class and 1/8th nitro onroad during this time but the 1/10th electric pan cars had been my favourite class until now. Unfortunately I have given away...

Thanks Phin , I have the battery tray , but it is just located somewhere in my house. :D
I am looking to find out what the history behind the non-typical Delta only Concave Slotted screws is. Were they available in certain grades, etc...
Thanks,

I know this is an old thread but I have to chime in on these high-torque fasteners. DON'T USE THEM FOR ANYTHING AT ALL. I was a jet engine mechanic in the US Navy and those were used on the S3-A Viking Anti-Submarine Patrol Aircraft. You'd think...
I 've had this one for a long time. I think there was a IFS option but I am not sure.

we dabbled with ABC Super Hero X1 back in 1982... yeah full suspension didn't offer enough benefit to negate its weight & space costs in a tiny little 1/12th
Same era campaigning Delta Super-Js... tried red Eagle & red PB Alpha. With larger...
I built this one when I was a kid. I got the 935 body. Never did run it much. What a cool little car! I am amazed I kept it this long!

Very slick! I had one when the buds cars first came out, bought out a friend that had a ton of parts, tires etc. way better handling and just as fast as the buds cars. Very impressive and fun car! Sadly I sold it a long while back. I see they are...
As some of you may know my main interest in vintage rc cars are the 1/12th and 1/10th pan cars with Delta cars being one of my most wanted areas .
Some days ago I got parts for the Delta Phaser what was the very first Delta electric car.
The Phaser...

Phaser project completed. Wrong parts replaced, also correct RC12E wheels used now.
I know Delta 1/12 wheels look very nice but they are far from being period correct. The first Phaser was sold as a conversion kit for the RC12E and the Delta team...
I have a Delta CK790E, basically it's the late 70's/early 80's CK780 pancar converted to E-drive.
I'm missing all kinds of parts for it, mainly original electric components.
I did find a period correct Astro 015 motor. Now I need a suitable pinion...
Some of the older Delta Super J cars are using white wheels. I think with the CK790 the red wheels were introduced.
The front wheels should be same dimensions maybe but is it possible using the red rear wheels on older Super J as well or are hubs or...
Anybody can tell if this is DELTA made front rim ? It is different from what we had seen.
Tks for the input !

No this is Gemini wheels. But even more difficult to find than Delta wheels. There had been yellow ones also but most times you will see black wheels as I got with my Schumacher XL.
Tks V12 !! I got a pair of RED from a Garage sales. :)
I´ve got some Delta spareparts that needs to be id:d
some screws that have an unusual head needs a flat screwdriver with a rounded tip ?
Anybody know to which model they belong.
Sorry about the small picture.

Are those rod ends rare? I seem to have a couple packets of those, but with SG header cards..
Will be a slow process, but I will attempt to piece together a Delta Villian IFS Car. I will use the pod from a donor McAllister chassis. Delta shocks are on hand as well.
I have that exact same tweak station. I can't say for sure if it as actual Delta part or something with decals on it (mine has no decals). The cool thing about it is that the whole thing is modular, and comes apart with spacers in the middle to fit...
Hello,
I'm new to this forum and this is my first post. I collect and restore vintage 1/8 and 1/12 on road cars and like to share some pics of my Delta Super Phaser (early version).
It still needs a novak receiver and motor.
Enjoy!

Thank you Bimdapogs. The main differences would be the chassis that doesn't have the additional holes to mount the middle body posts just behind the sub c batteries and the throttle servo mounting posts that are round compared to the later square...
Hello, Here are some pics of my Delta Super J. Enjoy!

I dont know why 1/8 scale vintage on road does it for me, it's so simplisitc, but I really love it. Nice car!
mrlexan, thank you for your nice comments. I'm glad that you like it :D
Digging through the garage and coming up with all sorts of goodies. How about a Delta CK180 1/18 scale Pocket Rocket form 1981. Bought this after seeing one in the wondow of a closed hobby shop somewhere in Iowa back in the 90's (Marshalltown, I...

I like the kyosho little sports motor in it. That's the same one used in the Kyosho 1/20 scale cars
Hi all,
I've been told these are Deltas. Can you please help me identify them (model) so I can find a manual (i may be dreaming here). Any info would be greatly appreciated. :P
My collection of Delta Villian. An innovative design in the 80's.
The Delta Eagle type front end + 3 shocks on the rear.

Nice! Those cars with the IFS front end are pretty rare finds. I have a couple at home, as well as the beam front end cars. They don't pop up too often—it's nice to see yours, for sure.
Well, this guy was pretty well hidden and cheap. Dirty as usual. 1985-ish Delta Super Phaser. Got it knocked to bits getting a little clean-up. I think the body is an IMSA Celica. Jay?
Can anyone ID this Delta. I found something similar, a P4, but there are a few differences so I am not sure about the specific model. Any help would be appreciated. thanks in advance.
So my 1/12th collection has been steady over the last few years, but sadly void of any of my favorite R/C manufacturer of all time—Delta. I missed out on a NIP P12 Spyder a few years ago, and a couple of other beaters since then, but I'm a car snob,...

I was just looking at these photos and wondering if you have built anything with the alloy parts yet. They are simply stunning.
