I got a tip regarding a Junior T for a reasonable price and from a neighbour country here in Europe.
I bought it thinking it would be a nice pile of parts.
It turns out the truck has never been run. Not a scratch anywhere.
I guess it is a late...

I contacted TBG regarding the Junior T body. It turns out they had stopped making it due to supply shortage for the specific Lexan needed.
However they managed to make me a body using a different material. Big thanks to Trish and Jon! 8)

I'm looking for a Tamiya paint code for the blue on the box art for the Losi Jr-2, Junior 2. Looks like a metallic blue , maybe?
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks

This wing is painted in Duratrax metallic blue, backed in metallic silver.
Well,it's all done, apart from a few touch ups and some decals I need to slap on.
Not bad for a test body .
It's a Team Bluegroove body,I came across and bought a genuine NIP Losi body while this body was all masked up,so I thought I might as well...
Here's my LX-T that I raced on carpet ovals as a kid. It's close to how it was back then, except for the .36 shocks and yellow motor plate.
I ran A&L Roadkill & BTS Liberator, Dahm's Ruff- E-Nuff SE and Andy's Lo Profile bodies. I had Trinity...

I found these aluminum uprights for a XXX_SCT and was wondering how their geometry compared to the XXX. AS in, if the caster and spacing were the same. Any ideas?
I gather the SCT kingpin is longer?
I just picked up a XXX BK1 for no good reason...

Never mind: the pins are all 1/8 , vs the 3/32 on the buggy.
Any suggestions on replacement Jrx2 rear tires? Seems like there have been a few 2.0” tires available in the past, but nothing currently. I’d prefer some 4 rows like the originals but would settle for almost anything that looks like it came from...

Never seen this before and have had a lots of them. Triangle center? I could see how it would create less friction yet still support at this common area for melting?

I'd like to start an official conspiracy theory on this. Needs to be a vintage one rooted in 1990 give or take.
After building my Jrx2 series buggies and setting aside parts for another build or two, I still have a decent sized pile of used Losi parts. So I have decided to take the worst parts that are still functional…you know..the scratched, faded, rusty,...

Really nothing special here, but all these years later my wife came across these old pictures of mine. This car was my younger brothers that I built for him back then. Thinking back to when we built it I could have sworn it came with red logo wheels...

At the time it would be weird maybe, but with benefit of hindsight now would be cool to have recevied a we're using up spare parts kit. AE did it too with the RC10's. If you had one today you could get everyone on FB arguing about it and then put it...
I know this model is right on the edge of vintage, but it's Kinwald so it automatically gets a pass. I have been saving up cool and rare XXX parts for several years because I knew I would eventually build some sort of XXX car. I finally...

Looking at my Losi Mini-T 1.0 (old rear motor version) I found that if I would stretch this thin a little bit, it would be quit exactly a 3/4-Scale-1/10-Buggy .

I am a fan of the Losi LRM transmission and the upgrades available for it..so this is a cool one. This MIP L-260 kit includes a different top gear and diff gear to change the original LRM ratio from 2.18 to 2.6

Nice! I put one in my LXT back when I still raced it. And I think I have a backup kit I got years later.
When upgrading the original jrx2 to a pro using the proformance kit what shocks are used in the front? The original short body (.6)? I know the production jrx pro uses a long shock and shaft (.9). There is a post on here with the entire upgrade...

That was perfect! The box clarifies that there are long shocks used in the proformance kit in the front. Those gold shocks are super nice I have a set on a stellar jrx pro se
So I picked up this used JRX2 a few month ago. It was in decent shape and has a a few pretty nice period hop ups. The 3 piece front wheels are kinda cool. Bottom isn't too gouged up. (ugh stop rotating my pics....)

Does anyone know if the XX transmission braces with the ears or fingers on them give any extra strength or rigidity to the chassis or transmission compared to the simple little rectangular braces? This will be for a runner build with a modern motor....

I have only ever broken the ears off the transmission case just behind the holes that screw to the bulkhead. I don't believe either brace really solves that problem (unless others are suffering different failures to me).
Friday I finally got my new project in. The previous owner must have really liked Miller.

Great looking buggy! One of my favorite things about the original Jrx2 is the sleek bumperless front end.
