This is a tribute to the great line of RC10 buggies produced since 1984-2009 (RC10 - RC10B4). This is a work in progress. It will take some time and help from fellow members, as we all learn new things about the different versions. So please be...
I searched the forums and internet and can't find a direct answer...What sizes and how many of each bearing do I need to outfit an original RC10 with the six gear transmission, no bellcrank steering? Boca Bearings has kits for the RC10, but the...

If you intend to run the 6 gear tranny, I'll suggest that you go on with the mod. It'll be alot smoother and you will have longer running time on the idler gears. I've done that on my 6 gear tranny and no regrets. PS: As long as you are not gearing...
I believe, I bought this RC10 buggy around 1985 but it could have been a little bit later or earlier. When I bought my new RC-10 in 1991, I totally dissembled this car right down to almost every nut, bolt and gear (What was I thinking?). This car...

I would think you should be able to find any part that you might be missing rather easily, especially if you continue to participate in this forum, and get enough posts that you can use the B/S/T section.
Last time, I drove this car was in 1992. I took the wheels off and parked it. I intended to drive it later, but never got around to it. It's been either in a storage unit or in a garage since then. I found it today, and here is what it looks like...

None so far. I don't plan to depart with them, at least for now. This model, I think is 100% complete. Don't know if you saw a partial picture of it, but I also have the original unpainted body including the wing and the interior piece. I raced this...
So I am not sure what direction I want to go. My intial hunch was to take the graphite car and make a shelf queen with dyed black parts and maybe some simple blue anodized hardware and shocks or something. Let the chassis stand out in other words...

Good idea. As I think about it I will modify the heck out of the gold pan car with whatever modern parts and custom stuff I feel like attaching to the pan and keep the graphite one pretty much as it is and run it with protective film.
Can someone with a micrometer and an original nylon KC HiLite handy give me the exact dimension of the inner lip of the face of the light?
Thanks!

In the instructors defense, despite bad attitude adjustments, mechanical vernier scales are the most accurate measuring devices. The digital units are nice and handy but can often be off by a couple thousands and are generally frowned upon for high...

Ive just restored one and now showing these B4s why it is such a good car. This is the best carpet racing buggy ive ever driven. Ive added a 200 g flat brass batt plate so i can better balance the car with my Lipos. Fibrelyte in the uk does the...
Well, I finally built an RC10 for a the J Concepts Nationals in 2 weeks. I have never raced one, and haven't run 2wd in 15 years, so I thought why not. I picked up this almost new (poorly listed) team car off e-bay for $40 bucks RTR about a year...

Little update. I tried a castor block mod today, hoping it would allow for a vertical adjustment on the front end. In my particular situation it won't work. So to all of you who are thinking about it, don't bother unless you are running in a...
Has anybody used one of these bodies? Looks like it should fit a RC10 pretty well. I think it looks pretty good too. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with them?

I was a little concerned about quality with them. They seem to have good feedback on Ebay though? I agree on the price, seems like a pretty good deal.
Ok, I did a search for this but could not find the answer to what the final drive ratio is for the A&L Lethal Weapon. So after some disassembly, I figured out it's 2.22:1. The diff has 40 teeth and the top shaft has 18. I guess this explains why you...
Last post
Ratio is not different the Instruction sheet is different, sorry if I was not clear. Richie had mentioned the posted instructions did not look like the ones he received with his LW2. All our LW's use the same gears (pulley's) and all have a 2.22...
As a kid back in the mid 80's I got into off-road and dirt oval 1/10 racing. I was wooed by the flashy ads for the original Ultima and the Optima/Turbo Optima. The RC10s where my competitors. I think in retrospect, I made the wrong choice and always...

Hey guys,
Just going thru the parts dept. in the man-cave, and came across a NIP#6566 felt gasket. I will never use it (I destroyed four of these just try'n to remove the inserts) and thought one of you guys could on a vintage build. I figure I can...

So I have this B2 I picked up as a roller, and just happened to try and stick a steering servo in the car. I think it was an S128 or S148 futuba servo, standard size. It wouldn't quite fit in the small space for a servo. I checked the manual but...

Since it does fit in so tight,
it will be the last thing to fall out when doing cartwheels !!!!!
Picked up a T2 chassis on ebay. So far I filled the two holes on the side with jb weld. Cleaned up the chassis . The front bulk head is new . Cleaned up the trans and installed new diff balls , rings ,and out drives. Also mount the klien arms and...

Yeah, it is a little narrower that a B3. I have klien arms , b44 CVDS , GT carriers , B4 axle spacers on it. So it should be the same as a rc10. For now its going on the shelf until I get a body figured out for it. The B3 body won't work even if I...

I just aquired a brand new 6301 A stamp black chassis (w/o stealth holes). My question is what version of the rc10 would have come with this style chassis. I thought once the chassis went black all the cars had stealth trannys or were at...
I had to share a picture of this gem I found. I've had it packed away since I bought it back in 1994. I popped it in a vcr and it played great. It was pretty cool seeing all the team cars and RC10Ts racing.

Does anyone know if the older RRP #178X spur gears fit a B3? How about the current RRP #188X or #198X spur gears? These are all 48-pitch gears, right? I guess I'm curious about the hub size and the two mounting hole centers. Thanks...

Metal ring will face towards the mounting screws. Or be on the right side of the spur when looking from behind.
