This is a tribute to the great line of RC10 buggies produced since 1984-2009 (RC10 - RC10B4). This is a work in progress. It will take some time and help from fellow members, as we all learn new things about the different versions. So please be...

Vintage RC10_Box Art RC10.jpg
I've gathered these items from my attic, looks like I have a good base of parts for building a vintage RC10 gold tub car, not sure yet if I will make it like a Jay Halsey version, but if I can find the front rims and...

Yes Ruffy, by joining use, you will have to spent a lot of time behind your computer to put on DVD's all your race video's and scan your race pictures too !
I can help you with DVD's of the Gene Husting collection and some other's.
Hey guys, I've been checking out the forum since I started rebuilding my 1986ish A stamp RC10 last year. I'm not totally sure on the date, but I know I purchased it new when I was a underclassmen in high school, so that should put it around the 86...

This should get you going. The original manual and more are linked here..
I have looked at the boxes that show the timeline. I figure i have a early Cadalac car stamped on the bottom A and the manual says 84' But there is no text on the end on the box? Either end. And the rest is printed on. So I thought they all had the...
Last post
Well, the info on the early cars was printed right on the box end, the slightly later cars were papered and glued ( which loses its tack around basements  ) but the place where your addy would be is on the opening side of the box, bottom...
i wanted to start a section for people to post rc10s that were not the normal fix to look like box art/fix to look like a 1987 john doe rc10 ..thats cool but i really like the different stuff..some people call them junkers, rat rods ,runners,or...

But I got inspiration from an orphaned TQ10 motor plate. With a bag of black oxide 4-40 nuts, I came up with...

I've been thinking about doing this with crystal clear epoxy, yours looks great! The bond should be fantastic provided you de-greased the chassis during prep.
Ok, someone please tell me what the trick is to getting the pin out of the RC10 axles (with limited tools)? At this point I am willing to go buy something if I need to at a LHS or at Home Depot to get these freggin things out.
One reason why I am...

I find they come out easily with a set of needle nose pliers-- just be sure to have the slot in the pin facing the tip of the threads-- this way when I squeeze down on the pin, to grab it, it also compresses the pin, thus allowing it to pull out....
What's the difference between the lethal weapon trans ment for the rc10 and one ment for the ultima. Will they interchange. Also do you guys think it would handle modern brushless power with 3s lipo or am I waisting my time.
I just found another blast from the past, in one of my boxes.
It is the 48 Pitch 6 Gear tranny made for the old housing. Notice in the picture below the transmission on the left is the 32 Pitch standard transmission with the black upgrade gears,...

Nice parts !
That's a pleasure to find somebody getting all his old stuff. We are so many to put it out.
Don't remind such thing to Craig Dresher, he turn crasy to the idea of what he put to the garbage during his last move !
I can start out saying that I am fairly new to RC, and that also whats made the situation im in. I kind of have no references. The story is that I bought a used RC10 Worlds Car twelve years ago, 1998, drove a couple of months, broke the...

Hello again, and really thanks for your replies.
I am not a collector but a driver and, like you said, it would feel bad thingie to use this car for 'fun driving', and maybe some local races (they are actually building a 1:10 outdoor track close...
Hey guys I have been inspired by many of your builds here on the forum and I have finally picked up a car to work on. I found a really rough RC10 on eBay last week and got it pretty cheap. It is in rough condition looking at the pictures from eBay,...

Wanna try something extra trick on the shocks? Mill a flat on the shock body for the set screw to sit flat on. Never could figure out why no one ever tried that and left the set screw sit on a rounded body. Not a big performance option, but the best...
 Well I just picked up my 5th car in about a month and the wife has about had so I guess its about time to build instead of buy. Picked this up since I might turn it into a nice runner for my daughter, im thinking dyeing the parts purple! Here...

I've got my newly aquired RC10 up to a semi decent state, now, but I'm scratching my head regarding the battery box.
I know the 'A' stamped cars, like mine, had the battery mounted sideways across the chassis, but I want to mount it vertically-using what...

right now I'm using a set that have the ends cut off-- it requires using Velcro on the bottom to keep it from sliding out of the boxes... :?
Here is an old video I found tonight of myself and a friend bashing around. I am driving the Hardees Mid engine Rc-10. and sporting the cool leather jacket. My friend is running his Jrx2.
My time line may be off a little but I will try my best to keep in check.
I was living in Dallas Ft area in 83-84 and was racing a frog at the local tracks. Then I seen the RC-10 for the first time. Had to have one! OK this is where the time...
I hope that this can be stickied here to the top so it isn't lost. I came across the DVD series sent to me as a gift from Gene. Here are some pics to start my scan contributions to the history of this fantastic car and sport.

I am exited to see the project. This car was my favorite of this era. I set my car up as close as possible to this car and it handled great. Make sure you take some good pics and post them up. Good luck, I will look around to see what I can find. :)
Have been away from AE for a while, but I have been thinking about getting a Gold Pan project started. I am just curious as to what the difference between all the different stampings of the Gold Pan chassis, and is there a particular one to have?

Oh its not that big of a deal. I was just wondering because as far as I'm aware there was never a factory A stamp black tub with Stealth holes. I wanted to see if I was right in thinking that.
Anyone knows when was the last big race Associated ran the tub chassis RC10? I know the Proto of the B2 was ran in ’95 worlds but I was wandering the moment when the team put down the tub and never look back again.
thanks, :)

95-96 was the last of the production CE, I think the team drivers stopped right after the worlds 95

I too like seeing crazy compilations of different buggies to come up with a functional masterpiece. I am wondering how the suspension will handle...I guess that depends on weight distribution too. I like the rear suspension setup, looks cool.
I built this rc 10 out of stuff I had lying around and tried to keep it old school with some performance upgrades since it isn't a shelf queen I wanted it dependable. About the only modern upgrade is the rpm rod end cups since they hold way better...
