With the amount of these that are being purchased, there will be a flood of build threads coming. We don't want the new car to bury the o.g. new builds, replicas, restorations, etc., that already take place in our buggy forum. So the best thing to...
I finished it almost 1 year ago and did the first run few days ago.
That was before the run...
I broke the body at several places and found that it was less resistant than any of my other cars...

Nice ride.
The ride height looks quite a bit high though. You want the dogbones flat in the rear and the chassis close to level. You might think that having it jacked up would be better but it raises the roll center and center of gravity making it...
We all know of the binding and that the planes for slipper are sometimes too deep onto the shaft....
This I never thought was possible. Check out the thread on this one.
It actually took me a fair while to understand why I couldn't get the nut on...

That definitely is something strange. I've had some machining experience with cutting threads and as far as I know the machines we use wouldn't even be able to mimic that process even if you screwed up on the machine settings. Seems like whatever...
I have just built a worlds rere, you guys prepared me well: I had new top shaft on hand; Idle gear; USA tranny case; even an 8-32 tap for bell crank nuts.
What I was not ready for where Plastic shocks!!! :(
I assume all modern cars have them....

Like harvey said you can wedge the spring with something to offset the rub. I used to use 3mm strips of that chassis protective adhesive wedged between the spring top and the collar on the opposite side of the rub to fix mine until I went BB...
I have been struggling with diffs and spur gears and the like, finally got it pretty close, and absolutely SMOKED a new set of tires :) I like this car a lot, tossed in a couple pics of my collection too

The damage in the 1st pic, was due to the ball diff being loose and slipping, it makes heat and will melt the diff gear.
OK, so here is yet another one of my projects, I bought this one when they first were re-released, started building it, ran into issue after issue, got disgusted, packed it up and stuffed it into the closet. Since then it's been through 2 moves and...
so i ordered some of the worlds re release cv joints for my current build. my car is running new rpm rear arms, new re-release rear inner arm mounts,re re outer hubs, carbon works rear tower and kyosho velvet shocks. i also bought the blue pin washer...

So a stock World's Car should have those bones a set of trans cases and an idler to make it right heh. Well and tires. Oh and The top shaft except the shaft in mine was good....
I put a Castle 3800 in my worlds car and ran it a little on the street , Wheelies at will ! We went to the beach so I put some paddle tires on it. After about 5 minutes it stopped running, took the trans apart to find that the diff ball holes were...

My guess is on the clay track your diff is set so the tire grip would be lost before the diff slips. With modern sticky tires and powerful brushless motors the diff slipping would likely quickly cause catastrophe as it would likely overheat and...
Since things are a little slow I figured I would throw this out there.
First off, I'm not referring to value- this is from a collector and hobbiest point of view only! I am also throwing out the using of the parts to resell a car as original. This...

It's funny, for me, all parts are just parts. If it fits, I use it. I guess my goal has been more about having a functional, drivable car instead of an era correct build.
I think about it exactly the same way, regarding vintage vs...
New to the forum long time Associated fan. So i picked up a Worlds kit without reading the forums.... I loved the suprise of the trans not working properly. 6565 case, idler and a B4 topshaft fixed that quick. Then the mods got out of hand. I should...
Since it was taking forever and a day for them to ship my worlds re-re I picked up a set of them up at the LHS. I installed the soft ones on the front and the medium in the rear with 30w F and 35w R. They are working amazingly well.
So I noticed if I try and adjust any of the turnbuckles on the rere worlds the ends pop right off. I took all of them off, ran them almost all the way into the ends, backed them out, lubed the threads with Krytech dry lube and out them back...

I saw that in your build thread and am thinking of doing the rest of them tonight.
I ran them all the way in and out before I put PTFE on it and I still had to drill out the end to clearance the shoulder. I also found out the turnbuckles aren't...
Every time I click around here I see a bunch of ReRe World's Cars being built so I couldn't take it anymore and bought one. I called up Stormer Hobbies and talked to a guy for a bit and he let me get one for 149 shipped. At the moment, I have no...

It came in yesterday. I also went kind of nuts buying parts lots and now have 3 complete cars torn down on my workbench and 4 more on their way. (My Oakey collecting has taken a backseat for a minute lol) When and if I do build it, it'll probably be...
I'm not in a super rush as I waiting for a package from AE to replace my incorrectly machined CV. I have my sidewinder 3 4600 kv combo here for my re-re worlds and I'm wondering where I should start pinion wise. The spur is the kit one and I'm...

AE is sneaky. I gave them my home shipping address for the replacement CV. I expected it to come to the house but nope, it just showed up at work today. Guess they looked up my email since I used my work one to make contact and got the shipping from...
I recently got a RC10 worlds car for Christmas and have built the kit which was great car and quality but I am running a 5700KV Castle Creations Sidewinder motor. I ran the car once after building it and it quickly warped the spur gear  I know...

I actually ordered the 5700kv and canceled it and went with the 4600kv. I remember back in the day I nuked the diff in my JRX2 with a low turn modified. Ended up pleading with the family to take me to the hobby store while on vacation in order to...
Not sure if the link will work, but apparently the inside cover of the July issue of RCCA has a very familiar photo in it...
Possibly this time the rumors are true?

I wonder why I never see them in hobby shops anymore? Odd. Maybe it's a slow mover? The last one I saw had a faded price tag, indicating it had been around for a while.
Just joined and bought a classic re re. Excited for the build. Wondering if any of you know where to source aluminum try wing nuts for the wheels like the4 originals but in gold aluminum?

Yeah having a hard time finding even the stock ones.
I was kicking the idea around about buying the world's re release car. I've heard good things and bad things about it. What's y'alls opinion on the car and is it worth the buy?

Oh yeah they're awesome about custom service. When I built my new t5m they replaced a few items for me with no hesitation. Will always run AE vehicles for the value, quality and the way they take care of us racers.
Been racing my RC10 Re-Worlds for about a year now, but got parked for indoor racing back in May after I got a B5m. Was getting wooped in 17.5, so the B5m is taking over stock duties, and putting the RC10 in mod.
Didn't know where to post this.....Since it's my re re....I figured the re re thread.....

Being one of the early adopters of the RC10 World's re-release, I was was extremely happy at the chance to purchase an RC10 again. I had been out of the hobby since I was 17 or 18 (now 31), so I decided to seize the opportunity and buy a this great...
First off, thank you Team Associated to giving us this!

Good god is that a nice looking RC10. Jeez, one of my favorites, ever. Just goes to show that keeping things simple can make for a really good ride.
I started this project a number of months ago, and thought it was about time I post the progress. I am not sure at this time how far I will go with taking artistic license versus being historically accurate. But, since the project will take quite a...
I picked up my freshly anodised RC10 classic aluminium parts the other day.

Nice effort!! I really need a Re Re now!
Not sure why I didn't start a build thread soon in the build but never too late. I suppose because I'm not doing too much outside of the box on this one.
I was hoping to get a bit of advice. I just got a free to me Re-Re Classic NIB. I am trying to decide what to do with it. I have a Cadillac that I am almost done restoring and I was going to use it as a resto-racer. It is pretty much...

Yeah, if you compare old world prices to nowadays, they're cheaper! I really need to buy one soon.
Is anyone still running a classic, did you drive yours a few times, did you build it and put straight on the shelf, have you at least cracked the seal on the box or did you just stash it NIB?
I originally bought two, one to build for the shelf and...

I have an ancient R10 (and some other cars) in storage that I cannot get to yet. Got bitten again a few years back and was bashing some Tamiyas around and also bought a couple of RC10 shelf queens and like to snatch up cheap Ebay beater RC10s. I...

Your rear arm mounts are on backwards. FYI.
Lol yes they were. I was not quite finished with it yet and sort of tossed them on. Was too lazy to change it till I got some more parts for it to do all at once.
I think AE made a mistake in their manual with their CVD upgrade kit. The spacers (not included with the kit :? nor were the part #7364 hubs :? ) should go on the inside and not the outside or the dog bones fall right out.
It worked out OK on the...

The diagram is correct. The blue spacer is designed to keep the wheel from touching anything but the inner race of the bearing when the nut is tightened. Yes, it may be too thick and cause issues if your right height is set too high in the rear, but...
Well, he's not little anymore, and he'll be 21 in January. But, here is my kid's worlds car. Just about ready to munch on some carpet this winter. Waiting on the servo yet and I gotta spray the body.

I got this car from my brother for my birthday. I've always been a fan of rc10's and I'm really excited to finally own one. I plan on racing this car in the 17.5 edm class at a couple oval events this year.
i'd be interested in having a set, but i'm not too interested in ordering them part by part, not that i mind assembling them, if they come in a bag, but it's just that it seems kind of wasteful and expensive to order them one part at a time.

They are indeed available as a kit, all in one bag. That's how I bought mine. Mine are still in the bag, as I went a different route. If you want the part number, PM me, because I try to save all the cardboard hanger cards that come on parts....
My son is trying to race with a Worlds RC10. The under-steer is pretty difficult to work through compared to his modern B5M chassis. Are there any front suspension tips or tricks to adjust for the under-steering in an RC10?
Last post
For me, the answer was lighten the front springs, add weight to the nose, and fabricate a rear sway bar setup. This has worked wonders for me. It used to just push straight into the barriers if I had any gas on it, now it turns much more...
i am going out on a limb here and guessing this car needs more front end weight. how do you current owners have your chassis layouts?

i plan on running mine on mid grip astro this winter. i want to try the b5 cradle or the batttery holder in GoMachV's car. i have the b5 cradle already though.

Hi,
Other option is to use NIX63551 arms and B4 bones. This way you can use Worlds Car hubs and bearings from the kit.
In this mod suspension layout isn't Worlds Car anymore as outer hinge pin moves out.
I got my first associated car ever, the RC10 worlds in mid February. I was hooked after a friend of mine Foong, let me drive his, and I was instantly hooked, it was so easy to drive, unlike another buddy's TLR 22. So I bought it , but did not have...
