With the amount of these that are being purchased, there will be a flood of build threads coming. We don't want the new car to bury the o.g. new builds, replicas, restorations, etc., that already take place in our buggy forum. So the best thing to...
I want to install big bore shocks on my Worlds RERE. What shock towers do I use? I think the standard ones are not the right size for big bore. Also, what does big bore actually mean? Thank you.
Last post
I use Big Bore shocks from the Associated B6. They are around 38-40 dollars a set on eBay. Comes with everything, including springs.
Where are you getting a complete set for that?
It was a chop shop on eBay. They were selling B6D shock sets. I...

Original 6 gear.
I´m not sure about the nosepiece but it was old and black to begin with :-)
Rest is RC10 Classic parts, with a little help from an Ultima RB6

Many Thanks for the kind words.
ummmm, Apple Pie... Now I´m lusting for cake
And Yes, they´re Scorpion wheels.
Hey everyone, hope all is well...
I've got an RC10 project on the go and I'm using some rerelease RC10 Worlds parts and I want to dye them black with Rit dye.
Do the rerelease parts dye OK?
Thanks!

Hey, does anyone know if RC10B4 turnbuckles will fit an ol' RC10 Team Car?
I'm using Rpm rear arms and Andy's front arms.
Thanks!
they'll be a tad on the long side, much longer arms on the B4 than the old-skool rc10 (B1? :D)... but if you are ok...
Ran my RC10 Worlds car at the first race meeting yesterday. Car has a Lipo, so lighter that it was designed to be. Loosened the slipper as far as I dare, and adjusted gearing as much as possible but the front kept lifting up until I fitted some...

I've had a stock notification for the #6310 gold nose plate for quite some time. Last night, I get an email saying This item has been discontinued . :(

I was afraid that it was another bankruptcy notice.
Has anyone been able to find a anodizing service that can match the original RC10's color?
I had plans to build up another B1.5 for next year's race. But A-main Hobbies was blowing out Worlds kits last week, and with the coupon codes on top of it, I could not pass up buying one. It'll be so much cheaper for me in the long run. So I got...

Ahh, I do that all the time... waste money on stuff that I thought would work and it doesn't or it's a part that I already have!
First of all it's been a VERY long time since I've been on this site.... WOW looks like Ive missed a lot!
So I picked this up new and built it to this point a couple years ago. Since then it's just kinda been hanging around the shop waiting for a...

Holy molly! What the heck happened? I haven't been on here in a while and I see this? I bought mine when AE first made the production run for Amain for like $130. How did this happen?
I've only run mine 1 time and has been shitting on the shelf for...
I have been doing this way too long and always ran Losi. For some reason, I got bored, sold that collection and have gone down the RC10 wormhole. I built this to run at the local carpet off road track that recently opened. I am running Schumacher...

Hi all,
Just thought I'd post in here and mention that Windy City moved to a new, much bigger facility. The off road track is huge and is now on-road carpet instead of the turf, so clay or foam tires work well. I brought my RC10T there this weekend...
I finally managed to get hold of a set of white front a-arms for my Worlds Re-Re.
However, the a-arms bind/rub with the worlds re-re shock rod end. The space for the bottom of the shocks is marginally larger on black a-arms (1mm bigger?)
What...

Where did you find white arms? I would love to get a set.
I was lucky enough toget a great deal on an RC10 Classic last night. I had a good chat with the owner and checked out his RC collection when I picked it up. After building the car in 2014 he had installed a Novak Edge esc and a Novak Ballistic...
What are the thoughts on the all inclusive kits being offered by I guess team Associated. I noticed they offer a kit for $760 to include ESC, battery , motor and servo. I am hearing there is a similar kit with a mod motor being offered for $499 but...
I’ve been wanting to build an RC10 trailing arm conversion runner for years as I’ve never actually driven one. I came close once with an A&L build, but when it was done, I just couldn’t bring myself to run an actual vintage chassis. When I saw that...

I thought I'd post up these pics also, just in case someone finds them helpful. I tried all sorts of rear mounts for the Andy's Renegade body. The best solution I could come up with to deal with the angles on the rear of that body was a single...
Hi guys. Here is my Team Associated World's Car re-release. I completed the build last year (Sept. 2016). Some of you might remember seeing it. I haven't done anything to it since then, and it has only been driven a couple times. It was a really fun...

Savox can be loud, I almost always use the same model, some make noise and others not a peep. Go figure. I saw a review online that showed Turnigy 1258 is basically identical but around $40. I may try one.
Needed some new axle pins so ordered up some 7665 as shown in Rere manual. What showed up were 10GT pins and are too big by far. Am I missing something, I know I will order smaller ones (7369 perhaps) but is manual wrong?

7369 was the answer. There is no way the GT pins were going to work.
A while ago I bought a worlds re-re and built it. I ran the gearbox on the drill for a bit to free it up.
However, it was still a bit notchy (but not as bad as others have experienced). Anyway, I finally fitted the old idler gear and case. What a...

Yeah... Of the two kits I've built so far... one spun but was rough... the other was total junk. So I pre-emptively ordered a handful of extra cases, idlers, topshafts... :-/
Hi guys. I ran my RC10 Worlds last Sunday at my local club, a bumpy astro track with a 7.5 and it went really well, beating all of the 4wd modern cars in my heat! Anyway, I am running saddle pack lipos in the car, and the battery strap is causing a...
Hi everyone. I have mostly built my Worlds car, although I have a bad gearbox layshaft. I also notice that the steering bellcranks are very stiff. Can I ease them, of if ballraces are best what size do I need? I couldn't find a search box so please...
Did AE always have them priced @ $399 on their website, or did they just try to milk the price at the very end? I ended up paying $350 shipped for a sealed one on the bay last month.
I see that Associated has the 6002 kit listed as out of stock. Also I noticed there are none listed for sale anywhere. There are only a couple on ebay and they are priced at or near full MSRP. Did I miss a post? Hard to believe they all disappeared...

There is at least one nib and one built on rctech.net. Of course they are on the bay as well. I'm still on the fence about buying one.
The overall plan is to incorporate a mix of classic, world's, aftermarket and vintage parts

Do you find that the dhawk rear bulkhead stiffens up the rear end of the chassis? The nylon bulkhead allows some flex in the rear, so curious if the aluminum bulkhead solves that.

With the modern hard case LiPos it definitely is not a direct fit. The washer is the obvious solution, I did not try that yet, I am also aware of the need to shorten the cup, BUT I believe the cup balancing on just 2 washers with an ESC on...
