Re: Kyosho Fantom EP 4WD Ext (1/12th scale 4WD pan car)
I had a little time today to do a dry build. I'm still waiting for some 3mm titanium hardware for the full bling on the radio tray and some misc electrical bits. It's gonna be awesome when it's finished!
More soon.

Well, it's pretty much done.
Here's where we started: And where we ended up: I could put in a crystal and a battery and it's ready to run.
I'll let the rest of the pics speak for themselves. Thanks to Doug for the car!

Looks great temple. I was wondering, do the fantoms have a front diff or a just a spool?
Old school racing all the way!

It's two one-ways side by side in the front sprocket. The right axle is only about 1/2" long...carloco8 wrote:Looks great temple. I was wondering, do the fantoms have a front diff or a just a spool?

What body are you going to put on it? The chassis turned out really nice

Re: Kyosho Fantom EP 4WD Ext (1/12th scale 4WD pan car)
It's got the hammered original body on it currently. I've got a few domestic pulled bodies (parma/bolink/asso/jomac), but nothing really looks right on the Fantom... (Doug, the TOJ won't work due to front body post placement) The chassis part of the project just fell together. I've not had another project car where all the parts just sort of magically appeared in the same month.railey72 wrote:What body are you going to put on it? The chassis turned out really nice
Yours looks nice as well, but it needs to have some electrics in it!
Welcome to the forum, your other cars are very nice as well.

Geoff, get yourself a new Spada body. To the untrained eye, it looks the same, at least to me. I am sure you can find one on ebay or ask one of the Far East brothers to help you out.

I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike.

I thought about the Spada body... the only difference I noticed was the hump in the body for the pipe.
I'm patient enough to keep an eye peeled for the correct body though.
