RC10 JCAR parts?

Post by rangerg »

This all came in one package, new old stock. The label says is it for the Ultima, but the pictures in the instruction don't match. It seems like it is some parts for the Ultima and some for the RC10. The silver parts match other posts in here about the RC10. Can anybody confirm my suspicions?

Thanks for the help!

Didn't the motor mount plates angle upward on the Ultima version?

Edit: Found the ad...this is the Ultima version:

Phin, yes, that's right. I think the motor mount plates are for the RC10 and the rest is for the Ultima. Hmmm, doesn't do me much good.

The mounting holes on the shock stay (is that what it's called?) seem to be for the Ultima, they match up with my Turbo Ultima.

I got these for an Ultima because that's the title on the package. If they are RC10 mounting plates, I can't use them on an Ultima. That's what I meant. The mounting plates in the package are different from the ones in the picture in the instructions that came with it. I thought they would be curved like the ones Phin pictured. Scr8p, did you use them on an Ultima or RC-10 or how did you use the parts?

Thanks!

That makes sense what you had. Well, if anyone needs some JCAR parts, these are available. Thanks for the help.

The more I look at mine, it is just like the one pictured fron scr8p, just silver instead of black. I think the whole thing is for the RC10.

Those look like the RC10 DDS side plates. The JCAR ads were odd because they never listed any part numbers and I've never seen ads with the RC10 and JR-X2 DDS, only the Ultima one.

And the instructions that came with the RC10 tranny I bought from scr8p are strange because they list Ultima parts for the Thorp diff. :?

Here's a better pic of the Ultima DDS:

And here's what a completed RC10 DDS tranny looks like in my HyperDrive conversion:

Was that set up just the brace, or did it come with slipper and outdrives? I'm only asking because it seems like it would be fairly easy to replicate, and very cool to replicate... 8) I've seen it many times, but never really thought to ask.
