Factory Works C2 6-Gear Trailing Arm...
It's taken me months to get this one together. The transmission was a chore to gather all the parts new, worst to find was the thrust bearing and washer. Next hard to find was a gold nose plate. Luckily, aip47-2008 (Aaron) fixed me up with a NOS one. I struggled to get get a set of front arms, finally making a trade with scr8p (Jason). These guys, not to forget GoMachV (Jeff) helping me with the custom 6 tranny brace.
Some features of mention...
Factory Works C2 kit, black chassis plate, drilled for 6-Gear transmission only.
Lots of custom machined (by me) aluminum alloy parts.
Worlds re-release shocks and front shock tower (will replace with a Factory Works).
Custom rear motor guard (modified Factory Works part).
1/4" rear axles with dogbones.
Avid ball bearings, front to rear.
Factory Works ball bearing steering kit.
Lots of Factory Works load spreading washers. Really dig these washers!
Savox 1251MG servo with Racer's Edge alum. horn (blue ano stripped off). OEM servo wire replaced with black TQ Wire.
Reedy Sonic M3 17.5 brushless motor.
Did I say I'm a big fan of Factory Works stuff? No? Well I am
My goal for the winter is to finish up all 3 of my trailing arm builds
Edit: Forgot a pic.

Nice work Nomad. Seeing that gold nose plate, narrow arms and jelly bean wheels really takes me back to the great old days of RC. I really want a trailing arm RC10 to run; one day I'll get there.

Amazing build! Nice work!

Great looking build! I may have to steal your idea for using the modified kydex guard to attach to the uncut motor plate.

Thanks guys. This buggy is by far, my favorite. I do plan on swapping out the shocks with some gold bodied ones. I'm thinking that will probably entail building them from new parts. I've got a pair of the CPD shorty lipo battery cups coming. They should work out nice.
I put a new memory card in my old camera, pics seem to be much better now. It's an old Olympus VG-120. Battery door is gone, broke off somewhere long ago!

I dig not cutting the gold motor plate and still having motor protection on the "cheap". The only thing I wish I had done was install those 3-prong t-nuts in the kydex before drilling the holes. I had attached it with 4-40 srews and thin/low profile nyloc nuts while doing all the work so my holes would be off just a tad if I went with them now.

Very nicely done, really nice!
I am sorry I missed that you were having trouble finding ASC6627 thrust bearing and washers.
Cheers, Dave.

Thanks Nomad, I have checked out the C2.1 - many times. I especially like Jeff's Custom Carbon Fiber Build. That car is a total work of art!!
BTW, does this mean envy? ...anyway that's how I've been using it.

Re: Factory Works C2 6-Gear Trailing Arm...
After many nights spent trimming and fitting, I have a ProTech body and 5.5" AE high downforce wing mounted. There's one or two tiny spots to finish up. I rounded every corner so as not to have a sharp cut that will cause a crack/split later on. All edges are polished out. I'm happy with my work, the body comes on and off easily. If it wasn't so dang cold I'd squirt some color on it!
