RC10 LS cleaning
RC10 LS cleaning
Hi guys.
This project is more a cleaning than a rebuild.
I bought this model from a guy in a French forum.
I wanted this model since I was a teenager but I ran Corally at that time.
This graphite chassis is so beautiful !
The car is very clean so i will only clean it and disassemble only parts that are lightly draker than the others
This is before the cleaning, it is already very nice, event the chassis has little wear.
The biggest part of the work is done: cleaning, darker parts have been whitened. I also varnished the carbon rear pod parts.
I searched white parts to replace to black ones but it is very diificult from France. They are rare and the shipping cost is too much expensive to France.
To be continued...

Re: RC10 LS cleaning
I forgot to continue this post
Here are some pics of the build after whitening some parts, polishing all I could and warnishing the carbon pod stiffener.
the stiffener became a bit more shinny than genuine one but it is acceptable.
As original front bumper looked too big for me I installed an RC10L one instad of.
This car will stay on my shelf without body to let the view of this lovely graphite chassis produced more than 20 years ago !
So I didn't install the body post too to keep it visually as clean as possible.
To avoid to feel it naked I also installed an older but cool Peak Perf and a not very clean, but I have no choice, 1700SCE from PK.
With reinforced adhesive tape like on the good old times
It was a very fast project and there is not a big difference on before/after pics but I am so happy with this legendary car !

Re: RC10 LS cleaning
It's a beautiful car. You could do something cool like, paint only half of a body, like from the center to the left side?

Thanks
That's a cool idea. I will think of that.
