I put the RR idler gear, Dhawk Diff gear, and b4 topshaft with VTS slipper in my stealth. It handles the power from the 3800kv motor just fine. Even when I ran it on 3S and 47/69 gearing. That ended up with the stealth running at 30,000 rpm; it's a little crazy how well it works.
I should say that I had a thread similar to this a little while back. I went with a cheap route. Skyrc 3930kv motor esc programmer combo. I'm still in doubt of the motor but it runs just fine so far.
I'm looking to get a brushless motor setup, I'd like to have a decent amount of power, but nothing to overwhelm my car (stealth transmission gold pan, with B4 slipper assembly). I've picked out a few parts that would seem to work...
It's a bit of a mouthful for a model name but it gets the point across. I would imagine a lot of you might have Ten4 conversions so maybe not but it looks pretty good. I love my B44 - but the B64D is calling to me

I still don't understand why the B5 had such a short life span and AE went right to the B6 platform so quickly. The B5 didn't even get a 4 wheel drive version. I wonder when we will see a SC version of this chassis? Curious why they haven't released...
All of my electronics still work with the exception of the ESCs. I have a Novak T1 and a Novak T4 that seem to be broken.
I have NICADS that I charge with a victor engineering charger and the old...

The havoc does brushed but only down to 27t race stock. Had traxxas setup, motors are awesome but speedy bit big and very crude no adjustment at all fine for bashing or racing on extremely high grip surfaces.
Ok, I have this motor that I pulled off my newly found RC10 buggy and I can't seem to find any info on it. I'm curious if anyone knows what turn it is? Also I have this ESC that has been sitting around awhile and I'm curious if they are any good or...

That's a bit harsh... the ProDigi is an excellent ESC that can run with anything out there from bitd... I have a couple of friends who still race theirs in 2wd mod (where brushed motors are particularly appropriate) with success.
I'm looking for a starter car for my boy. I want a KIT not an RTR. Half the fun is building the car.
I've been out of the game too long. I quit racing in '93. It seems that theres no real KITS these days except for the Tamiyas.
I was...

best kit for a kid ...... blackfoot 3 no contest, keep the stock body for the shelf and buy a parma f150 lexan body for bashing. unless you need it to be a buggy then get a holiday buggy or something like that. hornets /grasshoppers suck if they...
Is there any issues with using copper stranded wires for the ESC and Motor?
Last post
just be careful when resoldering new wire into a speed control, some of them have multi-layered circuit boards which can pose a problem if you dont re-solder all they way through, try to get the heat on and off as quick as possible as surface mount...
I know its probably been covered a milion times but the searching can be a pain! I don't mind links to help point me the the stuff I am asking about though.
First are my cars, esc's and motors. All 1990's stuff. I have a few radios from then too...

I just checked, they come preset at 0°.
For good brush life and limited wear, I typically run my motors conservatively at 6-8°.
For max power in a buggy, I'd run 15-20°. In a truck, probably no more than 15°. But depending on the application and...
