I don't know how many guys we have left around that area. But, jwscab and myself are planning to hit this track up a few times over the winter (practice, hang out). So, if you'd like to come too, post up. The more the merrier!
This is 40 minutes away from me. I have been there a few times . to see if they have old parts laying around. My brother actually bought a new 4x4 rustler there last week. And my brushless rc10gt can keep up but his does wheelies mine just spins.for now. It's a pretty cool track the owner seems like a good guy to the regulars. Once I get new turnbuckles and strengthen the chassis and I'm gonna try the gt there. Might need different tires.
On a side note I thought it was weird they use slicks to race on what looks like a clay surface. I have a video from one lap last Saturday.
This track is 20-min from me and I've been going for the last month. M4 primes are the tir of choice on the clay and they fo change up the layout. Nice place with pretty cool staff. They just had a vintage race last Friday night.
I have this wasted attic space that's at least 12 feet x 32 feet, which could be maximized to 40 feet with some creativity. The attic has been insulated so it's not super hot in the summer. It feels like if could have all the makings of an indoor RC...

It looks like I'll need to watch the price of plywood. I would need 15 sheets, but not at $50 or more each.
Having been in and out of the RC hobby since my youth, I've really been thinking of opening an indoor track in my area(Louisville, KY). Currently there are four hobby shops within 20 miles of each other. Two of those have outdoor dirt off-road...

Well, after moving my personal residence the past month, I started getting back with the property owners for the track deal. There was a verbal agreement to pay one half month rent which would be applied to the first paid month. Was also agreeded...
I've been contemplating making a small 1/12 scale on-road track in my basement. I've got plenty of room for a small track with 4' wide lanes. My basement floor is concrete and I don't wanna spend too much $ on carpet so I was thinking about painting...

I did a job 2 years ago were we put in a tennis court. The 'paint ' that we used had ground silicon and latex added to a acrilic paint, cool stuff butt $$$. If the paint on the floor now is not epoxy and you use a 2 part garage floor paint you will...
Anyone have a good base starting point for these vintage trucks on indoor clay? The track is usually damp but can get dry as the day goes on. When I was practicing I could't figure out the rear. I tried blue, silver and black springs. I was running...

Hi Guys,
The small screws fill the holes where your bell cranks are currently bolted.
The longer gold aluminum screws go in the two forward holes where the buggy bell cranks bolt to.
You do not need to move the front nose plate from its current...

We've got a new indoor carpet track here and it is exclusively 17.5T blinky mode. It is very popular and definitely not too slow for the track. If it were a large outdoor track it would feel slow.
I'm gonna hit the track for the first time on Saturday n get some practice laps in....
It's a tight indoor clay track...
A brother is takin' out the sidewinder/5700kv n gonna go with a tekin gen2/17.5 combo that's been collecting dust......

Build your car exactly how the manual states and you will have a decent starting point. From there you may need to make some changes at the track depending how your car reacts.
Tires are really hit or miss. Best thing to do is ask when you get...

Although I know very little about this venue I recently heard about it so I had to go for a look. I've been out of racing for a couple of...

Thanks Doug!! It's very similar to the way you had it set up with just a few tweaks and changes. The front battery box is an Andy's.
