On the first post 1 Rc10 have CAT Schumacher shaft and gear box .
The JAY HALSEY RC10 4WD prototype.

Thank you for the great photos.Does anybody know what kind of wheels are those on the MIP RC10 (purple chassis) of the first photo ?

They are the MIP wheels that came with the 4WD kit. They had the slots for the drive pins in the back.

Does that wheel and tire look just a bit too much like the one in the purple pic, or am I just reading into it too much?

Thank you very much InetRC.Aside from the pin drive being dropped for a hex drive ,they seem to have the same philosophy like modern 4WD front wheels and not the deep offset ones found in Kyoshos Tamiyas etc of its age. :wink:

Anyone have any higher res pics of that RC10 half breed 4X, that looks like the down sloping conveyor belt? Looks like the same car in the B&W mag add as the one in color with Jay's RC10 body on it. I would love a closer look at the inner workings of the drive system. Custom stuff is just too cool!

This is the same mechanic than the second pic, the transmission is on the top of the gear box!

What is this tube coming out of the transmission and going in the front of the car??

The drive cable... :!: Early MIP kits used a speedometer cable drive to the front. :wink:
