1987 Competition Plus "Lightweight RC10 Build"

Post by railey72 »

I just picked up this magazine about a week ago. It brought back a lot of memories because I used to drool all over this buggy as a kid. I did eventually get my rc10 close to this minus some of the high dollar titanium. I wish I still had it.

Now if I could just drive over to my lhs and pick up those parts it would be so cool.

the club i raced with had no weight rules so our buggies were light, i remember going to santa fa raceway in kansas city missouri for a race and they weighed our cars, i had to add like 10 ounces to it, lol, i couldnt drive the car after that,

wow what a blast from the past .dont mean to get off the "Lightweight RC10 Build"(great post) but that add for tech toys really took me back.didnt realize they had ads in mags back then.thats my lhs. still in buisness, same number just(973) 227 7012. my grandparents lived behind the store so almost every trip to the grandparents was a trip to tech toys . ive been goin there since????? before 1987 ...thanks

This article was from October of 1987. I had really good luck with this setup back then. Although I didn't have the high dollar titanium, It was still a stiff and light buggy.

Wow, I was just thinking of this article and hear it is. I can't open the pics, though. Can somebody repost them or something?
