Before and After
Before and After
I thought it might be cool to see some of our restoration efforts in one thread, regardless of make. The idea is to post one picture of a car that was in really rugged shape and one picture of how it came out finished. You can add some details about what you did if you like or just let us gaze at the product of your workmanship.
Here's my first entry. I picked up this JRX2 from a local craigslist ad last year. It only cost me 50 bucks - but I would have shied away even at that price except for a lot of nice extras that came with it including several motors, two of them brand new, extra tires, wheels, a manual, charger, batteries and tons of parts new and used. I like how it came out very much.

Re: Before and After
OK, here's another. I got this wreck from the now infamous Matthew John. It's not quite complete but has come a mile or so since I got it. Still working on fitting a body to it.

Re: Before and After
This was a $50 BIN I picked up a while back. It wasn’t in the worst of shape, but it did have spiders living in the chassis.
It was pretty much complete and I don’t think I had to add any parts. I painted the chassis with black lacquer. The Dahm’s Commando body has an awful paint job, but it’s basically unused. One of these days I plan to strip it and repaint.
I used that smelly Rit color remover stuff on the wheels and it removed a lot of the purple.

Re: Before and After
Well this one has been torn apart again but it's the only before and after I have.
This was actually my first RC10, given to me from my friends dad.
1st RC10
1st non RTR RC
& 1st Paint Job
I was so excited to get it out on the track I forgot to take an after pic when I was done. That's why the cars a little dirty and beat in my after pic.
