Interesting I ran my TRX1 this weekend... I decided to finally spend the right amount of time setting the diff/slipper pair properly. The sweet spot on the diff is ridiculously narrow, it only takes 1/8th of a turn to go from way too stiff to slipping - thank god it can be set in a breeze. The slipper is quite outdated in design too, again, the tuning window is rather narrow.
Those Traxxas diffs are definitely a pain compared to the Losi and AE stuff I'm used to.
I will say that the Traxxas diff is way easier to use in the TRX-1 than the SRT though. Pretty much no tuning window with a truck. You just gotta tighten it down and hope the tension screw doesn't snap.
I have been looking at the forums for a long time an I finally decided to join.
My first hobby grade car was a Traxxas Rad2 (kit) which I sold to get my RC10 World's Car. I still have the World's Car, but I had to rebuild my Rad2 (Custom) which I...

don't think tbg does but I'm pretty sure the best bodies for these Cobraken on this board has and does combine shipping.
Have enough extras to start another TRX3. There will be some cannibalising of my mostly complete TRX3 but this will be swapping out used parts and keep new ones new. Some hop-ups. Want to put a Lethal Weapon in it but will have to talk to...

I really like this build with the LW transmission. The Traxxas probably diff is blah
Hey guys I'm new to this site and though I would check it out as I'm in the process of building a vintage Traxxas TRX-1. I see that there are a few others on here who have some nice builds which is a great help. I've attached I pic of what I have so...
I think I have a company that can make these Chassis.
Does anyone have CAD or a drawing of one?
The person that got them made back in 2013 may not be active on the board anymore. I emailed but I have not gotten a response.
It looks like I have...

I know that A&L dogbones for the TRX-1 are longer for a Lethal Weapon application. You might have those or some truck dogbones. Because standard A&L bones for the TRX-1 stock trans. are a direct fit.
Ok so I was fortunate enough to score an NIB TRX-1 from a member here at a very reasonable price. Thanks. You know who you are.
What do I do with it? I mean when I build it. I already have a from NOS parts shelfer, but building this one to run...

I am really looking forward to seeing this one. I had a Bullet, but I am not that familiar with the Traxxas racers. A couple of guys I used to race with (aka lose to...) BITD were sent free Traxxas kits. They would run them for a bit and do well,...
For years, I've always wanted to build a vintage rc car. After lots of research, I finally settled on the Traxxas TRX-1 (released in '91). I chose it because they are extremely scarce, and they were Traxxas' first majorly competitive model. Winning...
