My New Beater Truck
I folded and ordered up an X-60 mid motor kit for my T4,so I had to find another truck just to beat on.
I picked this up as a roller for the equivilent of US$65.
New body, but no decal sheet and the previous owner shot it a truly horrid smurf vomit blue.
I rebuilt the tranny and shocks, cut and shut some headlights and a grill, slapped some more decals on the decal-less body, painted the windscreen visor white to try and break up all the blue, put some carbon look decals over the painted in rear 1/4 windows, dropped in my Castle Sidewinder ESC and a Castle 5700kv motor running on a 2S 4700mah 20C LI-PO.
I wish to hell it would stop raining, already so I can actually test beat it!

You are right that blue body is pretty bad. I love the look of the open roll cage on those trucks. i wish they would have done the same thing on there Strike SC truck.

Those desert trucks Are cool. My buddy races one in stock truck and it does pretty good. Very nice find and heck of a good price.

Yep,just enough of a break to get a 20 minute bash out of it,then it started raining, again.
I'm cleaning up the wet sand and dirt, now.
That big open space where the roll cage is sure lets a lot of dirt in!

you have the lights on your truck? It looks as though the rears are missing.

Yep,the lights are there, you can see 'em,if you look close.
A bit of a gimmick, but they actually look pretty cool!
I'll have to run it at twilight, some time.

Oh now I see the rears.
If ya really want to screw with people then the next time your racing run the truck with regular tires and wheels and then do a snake race. Turn on the lights and race. My buddy did that and distracted most of the field to where everyone was crashing out except about four of us. Everyone was laughing so hard that my buddy ended up crashing and lost also. It was alot of fun. The lights work really good. Our race was night and they lit the track up pretty good.
