Anybody here into Schumacher onroad cars? I love them :mrgreen: Heres my first real touring car and has hooked me ever since. A SST '99 Pro.

Matey,

I have one very similar.... I took pics of it when it arrived mid-2007 (here: http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=62900&sid=154), but haven't taken any more since I replaced the chassis and belts.....

They do look nice, don't they? I especially love the alloy servo mounts and antenna holder on yours..... gotta love that purple!

I used to have an SST Axis2 witha bit of goodies on it, but that went a while back.... I do still have a couple of Mission 1s, but they're still in dry dock getting rebuilt....

Go the Schueys!

I ran a 99' spec SST back when I was a team driver did ok with it - especially indoors - I sold it when the Axis came out, this is still in my possession;

If I remember correctly both cars were easy to drive & well balanced, but were pretty numb to set-up changes even with full carbon chassis, also the split design of the bulkheads mean't they had a tendancy to 'tweak' after a bit of a knock. Can't remember ever breaking anything on it though :D Good cars.

& yes those purple aerial & servo mounts were chromed plastic - the ladder bars on my Fireblade were the same finish too :wink:

Edited to add - A couple of the guys I race with use the latest Mi4 car, these are tasty bits of kit... if I didn't run a Corally i'd deff have one of those (especially as I could drop into factory on my lunchbreak should ever need any spares!)

Wow guys some nice looking cars. :mrgreen: It was so silky smooth to drive and what a blast, just stay off the boards and it held up pretty good. After pretty much every run you had to re-tweek it, after awhile I just started running the top deck loose. I miss running that car LOL. Parts were hard to get here in Canada, I ended up buying a second kit for parts and then some. It got put away when the TC3 first came out.
