Is it common not to have a 2wd class?

don't feel two bad. up at p&t it's the exact same thing. i have took my boy to just watch the races a few times but they never had a 2wd or 4wd class when i was there. but there were a few guys with 2wd buggies there but they were just running their slash's. i think if someone showed up for 2wd there would be enough to make a class.

Yeah reo. Me and a buddy are gonna cruise up there tomorrow night and check it out. The Sliders might be fun. Their site is pretty out dated so I wanna talk to 'em and see what kind of rules they have going and see what the big classes are. I'm guessing the TC class is only there because of the club races they had in Boonville for a couple of years. That might be kinda cool too. Do you go very often?

Guess we’re lucky around here, we still get a pretty good mod 2wd buggy turnout. Usually pretty close to mod trucks, if not larger, especially indoors.

Stock buggy is virtually non existent , Sometimes we have stock truck, 4wd is hit & miss, mostly big races. Our indoor tracks are still fairly 1/10 friendly, but outdoors it is quite a challenge at times, we also have a lot of electric 1/8s, they are especially hard on tracks.

Santa just bought my Son a new buggy, which means I get to run mine that he has been running, yeah! But we might break down and get an E 1/8 for summer too.

Hopefully if they are running sliders (I'm thinkin Losi 1/10 so correct me if I'm wrong) they are allowing motor upgrades. I picked up one last year since the LHS was gonna start running them then decided to keep them stock to keep prices down. They are cool and kinda fun but stock electronics are really slow. Really livened up when I put a Losi BL system in it though

never been there. it's about the same distance from me as p&t but would take a bit longer to get there. about a 2 hour drive compared to an hour and a half to pnt. i plan to go out and check out the track at asylum xtreme in louisville. sadly its an outdoor track and mostly nitro but they do run some electric out there. now how much electric is ran there i have no clue... yet.. but if i can run 2wd or 4wd 10th scale there i will because i can get there in about 45 mins.

It takes more skill to drive a 2WD buggy. Not enough people with skill around!

That was my thinking as well.

I don't have the skill either, but it's still always been my favorite.

You have a passion for it, and I bet driving 2WD buggy made you a better driver, and now you have more skill than before!

Most people don't want to work at anything these days! You are one of the rare few that do. Keep doing 2WD buggy and you will get even better!

Thumbs, I raced at REO last winter, they are a good bunch of guys. If you showed up with a 2wd buggy they would just put you in with the 2wd trucks. Not a good solution but at least you could still race.

I might go up there on Sat to race SCT... not sure yet.

They seemed pretty cool the one time I went up there. I was reading the forum to try and get info because the site was so out dated and it sounds like quite a few guys will be in Albion, IL this weekend for a big race at Rector's? I raced in Albion BITD, but they didn't have any races that were what I'd call big. It was a popular place though. It sounds like a pretty big race, but I could find nothing in the short time I looked yesterday. Stupid work keeps getting in my way today! Here's what I was reading. They are definitely racing in REO, but it might be a bit light on attendance. Anybody know of a big race in Albion, IL this weekend?
