Here are some updated pics.
I swapped out the Short tecnacraft turnbuckles onto my JRX-2 build and put these longer Titanium turnbuckles onto the truck, which has the longer RPM arms. I did not have a matching rod to connect to the servo. I used 6-32 stainless threaded rod which is shinier and stronger than the stock 4-40 stuff.
Does anyone know who made these rods? are they early lunsford?
I swapped out the blue battery strap for a bright pink one.
Last but not least I swapped out the stock front bulkhead for an RPM #7378 bulkhead.
Did RPM ever make Spring clamps? I know they make preload spacers, but for the losi shocks you still need to use clamps as there is nothing for the spacers to rest on.
Thanks for looking.

i don't think rpm made spring clamps for losi. crp might have, but i'm not sure. if your looking for aftermarket ones, how 'bout some aluminum clamps from hammad ghuman? maybe even the lower spring retainers?

A few pictures after a weekend of racing at the vonats:

I ditched the vintage electronics in favor of some modern stuff, except the ESC which was changed out for a stronger, but old, tekin.
Setup includes Losi DSM rx, hitec hs625mg servo, Tekin ESC 610, Trinity Cobalt 27T motor Energ 4600 Promatch batteries. Gearing is 92t spur 14T pinion. Shock oil is 30 weight oil, RPM 2-stage pistons(blue I think) Red front, progressive black rear springs. Proline edge tires on AE rc10GT stock front dish wheels, jconcepts double-dees on Vintage proline JRX-t rear dish wheels.
I drilled a hole in the lexan dirt shield to mount the transponder, and changed out the tall rpm rear hub carriers to allow for wider selection of wheels. The extra-long Proline front axles came in handy as they allowed the use of bushings to space out the front wheels to allow modern offset wheels to fit with no clearance issues and a normal track width.

Man, that thing is off the hook, It's nice to see that you built it like new and then trashed it at the track, awesome
That thing was nice and smooth too at the track, can't say the same about the driver though
just messing with you sir.
