Alex, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you didn't make the comment knowing the difference. Lots of people just don't know, not out of ignorance but from simply not having contact with that sort of thing.

I'll pay that, and acknowledge that you are right, and I did not fully understand... my flippant remark was not meant to insult any Olympians, or anyone dealing with any sort of disability...

It was, however, meant to be taken in the same way as the rest of my post ie. follow the rules, and don't take things too seriously.
