1993 Japanese Off Road Nationals
Found an old Japanese R/C Magazine with coverage on the 1993 Japanese Off Road Nationals. Also an old Yokomo ad from the same magazine. Unfortunately not the best quality due to upload size limit.

Do you know what are those cars in the FF class? Are those homemade prototypes or production cars? The third one has Vanquish rear A arm I think...

Re: 1993 Japanese Off Road Nationals
All handmade AFIK. There was one as early as 1989 in a issue of RCCA, it looked exactly like those with the rear swing arms. Must have been a 'Japanese' thing, I never saw or heard of one over here.
The only production FWD off-road car I've ever seen was the Kyosho Maxxum, basically an Ultima/Optima-type car with the gearbox turned around. It looked nothing like those, the motor was behind the front wheels and had a traditional chassis layout otherwise, so it was bad on rough American tracks with low traction. I always wondered why they even produced it, what the market was for it. I guess there was one in Japan at the time, but I still can't see why it looked nothing like those cars.

The winner seems to have a "Ryuz"-named buggy (sticker in rear wing). I don't know was that a complete car kit or some kind of modification to some Kyosho? car. That Ryuz has been mentioned here in rc10talk at least here:http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=14454&start=0&hilit=ryuzjooles wrote:Do you know what are those cars in the FF class?
