Some Help?

Post by FasterLouder »

Hey all...Yes,I am alive (at least I think I am) and (reasonably) well.

Anyway...I just traded a touring car I had laying around for this Associated Monster GT.
The guy I'm getting it off has no idea about anything regarding it...Can anyone ID it-what model MGT,engine size etc for me?
Hopefully I can clean it up and make some money to ammend a certain situation.

Hard to tell from the poor picture! The MGT is a 21 or a 4.6 not a 8.0. I don't think the engine is stock but it's very hard to tell! The side mount pipe is not stock. Looks like you have a bunch of work on your hands, hope you got if for free or very very cheep!

I have no idea on the truck - not into nitro, but it IS good to hear from you. I was wondering just this morning how you were doing. glad to hear you're still with us! I still have that Pro I got from Rick, complete with the original body with the "rescued" paint. It's one of my favorites! 8)

Thanks,Scampi!
Glad to hear the Pro is still pleasing ya!
I'm still hangin' in there, trying to stay positive.
You guys have been a great help,I can't thank you all enough.

I worked out that it's a first gen MGT,that came with a .21 motor and has had a forward only conversion fitted-hence the absence of the servo used for shifting into reverse.
Comes with the stock tyres and rims and a set of Bowties on Proline rims.
Me thinks someone has raced it,sometime along it's life.

The body is a Pro Line Crowd Pleazer,I think.

Should turn up today or tomorrow. :D
