Difference between XXT and XXTCR bodies??

Post by cyclepsych0 »

I was wondering what the main differences are between the a-8016 XXT body and the a-8017 XXTCR body. And which one of these best fits the LXT? I read through a few threads and it seems either will fit rather easily, yet some say it still isnt quite right. :? Why is that? Can some one please chime in with the details here? Im building an LXT runner and would prefer to pay the $20 or so dollars for one of these instead of the $40+ (with shipping) for a re-pop LXT body off the bay.... Any help is much appreciated! 8)

The XXT has a more Losi traditional front grille while the CR has one modeled after the Dodge Ram truck. Either can be made to fit the LXT, but where the rear mounts you will have to do a little trimming to get it to fit the shocktower.

Ok, Great! Thanks for the help! I guess XXT body it is then (not a fan of Dodge grilles at all!) 8) Everything clears okay on the front mounting then I take it?

Here's a link of an LXT with the CR body.

The front fits fine, but like I said, you might have to do a little trimming to the back to get it to fit down on the rear shocktower. Wouldn't need much though.

Here is another CR I did for Rick. I am still waiting for him to peice something together to mount it on!

Thanks so much Brandon! I just picked up the XXT body from the LHS on my lunch break and I'll try fitting it up tonight! 8)
