Newbie with questons

Just signed onto the board here. I finally wiped the dust off my Ulitma Pro XL that I picked up brand new about 6 years ago. Do you think I should use the factory sticker sheet, it is still mint? I've looked for repos but cannot find any. I've painted the body as per box art, but am uncertain about cutting up the decals. I have fresh factory rubber, but it is for shelf use only, I'm using some old fronts from my previous ultima (20 years old) and some Traxxas revo mini tires on the rear. Looking to go to 2.2's by converting the fronts to hex, I need to buy the parts still. I'm also looking for a 48p internal conversion, I installed a thorp ball diff (from my old ultima). Does the MIP gear fit the Thorp? I've found that the spur doesn't have 48p metric as advertised, it is still 32p, is this an anomoly for the Pro XL? Appreciate the help in bringing this icon to life. if you went to all that work fitting the body and its going to live on a shelf do it cut that sheet and stick em on there are some good tips on using water to slid em round before placing i use the remove the backing in one corner and peel and stick

ive seen pro xl decals come up on ebay now and again, stick them on and buy a fresh sheet if need be.
