Re: what was you first car
My first car was actually a truck (82 Dodge Ram), that I later traded for my first actual car (1970 Dodge Dart), which I still have.

Re: what was you first car
The first car I almost owned was a 4 cylinder Cortina wagon. It was a total pile of crap but when you're 18 years old anything will do. A guy where i worked offered it to me cheap but after a week of driving a poo brown wagon I decided i didnt want it and he refunded my money-(luckily).
I ended up with a 1967 VW Beetle which sparked my obsession with 'CALIFORNIAN' style streeters. The little green bug got dropped within 3 inches of the ground, 'cookie cutter' 135's up front and 195's in the rear. The 6 volt system and 1300 motor went and a blue printed and balanced 1835 big bore motor went in with twin carbs, 'HOT DOG' exhaust and a piles of other cool bits which hurtled the car around at the 3 times the speed it was designed for.
I drove the back side out of that car for a couple of years and learnt plenty about cars from there on in. Good days.

Re: what was you first car
it originally had the standard one piece bumper, but somewhere in time before i got it the split bumpers were installed. it was a dead giveaway that they shouldn't have been on there, because it still had the larger grill, and it still had the parking light in the lower valance.
