Do you have a local parks building or community center? You may want to throw up a flyer with some info if you want to get a group going. It's amazing to me how many people I see (or hear) running r/c and when I stop to talk to them they never thought anyone else nearby had one... and they typically don't realize there are tracks nearby.
Make sure you mention how you want it to be... family-friendly or not, as some guys I've met like to get together, drink beer and see how many times a T-Maxx can cartwheel at high speed before it disintegrates. If that's what you're into, then great... but I would prefer something a little more laid back that kids could show up to as well. Just my thoughts.
Good luck!

The preceding contained opinions, beliefs and thoughts that all may not agree with. No offense was intended at any point. Carry on.

Are you talking about the "new" track in Greensboro? I'd seen a little about it, have people been showing up with 2wd buggies? Seems like everywhere I know about they only want to run 1/8, and SC trucks. Too much skill involved in wheeling narrow 2wd buggies! (I only really like buggy - 2 or 4WD.. can you tell!?)
How long does it take to get there, are they on the west end of the city?
