Wholy crap, I went to draw down some funds from my Paypal account today and needed to convert US to AU $ and for the first time ever I have ended up with lesser $ amount in AUD than USD.
Man the times are a changing
I don't know if anyone really noticed but a year ago, the Tamiya Ford F350 was going around for $350 US dollars. Now, it is about $400 for it. When I ask the workers at the hobby shop why that was, he told me of inflation. In actuality the U.S. Dollar has been getting weaker and weaker. As a fact, the U.S. Dollar is not backed up by anything...whereas the British Pound is still backed up by Gold. The U.S. Dollar is basically backed up by the faith of the American people, and that's all that is keeping the U.S. Dollar afloat. The reality of it all is that money is pulled from thin air and made into a value system, a system where governments will go to war to keep it a reality.
