RC10LSS setup wanted.

Post by arf »

When I raced pan car I owned a couple of Bolink Eliminators but during my search for a nice one on Ebay I pushed the button on this instead. Novak T-4 esc. Hand wound Speedworks 13t motor. Original box kit tires (I think.) I would like to run this on an asphalt road course, not in competition but to demonstrate a pan car to the unwashed mass of touring drivers at my local club. I know I should freshen the tires with hard fronts and soft rears, and fit a 200mm high-downforce body, and maybe replace the motor with something mild. Suggestions are welcome.

Well looks like you have a good start there. The car in general is a great chassis, its very reliable and easy to drive. The tires if they are still in good shape they will work well (may need a truing according to your roll-out), and the rims are not so stiff as to transfer any possible damage to the rear axle or chassis. The front end is stout, but for more adjustability I would recomend the Associated Reactive Caster front end, as seen on the RC10LS, RC10L2 etc.

Oh, if you ever want to get rid of that 32 pitch spur and pinion, please keep me in mind. 32p is kinda a weird obsession of mine.

Regards,
Maurice

I'm sure every new 10L owner had the same thought... is this really necessary?
