Not that i'm aware off.
Why do you say fragile. I have a Terror Conqueror with a 5.5t brushless and don't have any problems at all.
If you are talking of where the rear suspension tower is bolted too i used a long screw with a nut on the other end to stop it working loose than breaking the gear case.

Re: gear box ta01,02
No one made any aluminum gearboxes / bulkheads for the TA02 cars. They were pretty tough as previously stated.
Re: gear box ta01,02
what's breaking? i have been brutal to my df01 (ta01 buggy) and the only thing thats ever broken is the chassis int he front where it mounts to the gearbox.
i'd go out on a limb and call that chassis one of the toughest tamiya has ever built.
give us some details.

The only thing that I have broken is the motor mount. There is an aluminum replacement for that part #53142 from Tamiya or you can find Chinese clones all over ebay.

lol, i forgot about THAT motor mount. i think i replaced mine before it actually broke.
